I had just left Lenscrafters in San Bernardino and was enjoying my new bifocals and a nice cold Coke when something happened that made me spew my coke all over my dashboard. KFWB broadcast a MUSLIM CALL TO PRAYER complete with the Imam wailing away and some local Muslim cleric explaining thet it was a call to prayer for Muslims. Guy then goes into the standard spiel about how Islam is the "most tolerant of religions" and respects other religions and Jesus and we all worship the same God etc etc. And we all know what a crock of lies that is.
This happened just before 5:00 pm today and it sounded like they've been doing it all through Ramadan.
To each his own but I went to their contact page (link below and above) and shotgunned everyone on it with my feelings about them hawking Islam (Ramadan or no) and enlightened them with the TRUTH about Islam and I encourage everyone who feels the same to do the same. Just click below and fire away!

You are obviously confused. This is a private radio station, not a government school. Anyone is free to broadcast any religious prayers they want to.

I would like to hear your response to thread #95???

"The ability of Muslims to broadcast that call to prayer over our airwaves, like Christians broadcast our religious observances, is exactly what her son died protecting."
Let me get this straight-she should be proud that her son died protecting the right of a religion to broadcast ther faith over our airwaves? And the religion in question is the same that would not only prohibit, but punish or kill anyone who tried to do the same in their own Islamic countries?

That's what makes us better than those other countries, and makes us worth fighting for.

Then you'd have to repeal the 1st Amendment in order to get your way. As an alternative, just move to Cuba, or Red China, and then you won't have to worry about being offended by other people's religions.

I think Islam should be confined to there Mosque's not on any American Radio Station.
Would you really want to be walking to work and hear a loud speaker calling Muslims to prayer?

Well the way I see it the ACLU will allow a Muslim child to kneel down in prayer for Rammadan yet G-d forbid a christian child mentions Jesus! There attack on Jews and Chrstians by removing the Ten Commandments, is yet a bigger slap in the face, yes tell me how tolerant our country is to the majority.I think the ACLU are a bunch of commie pinkos. Hope this helps.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Are you capable of having a discussion with someone you don't agree with without calling them a bigot?
Just wondering.

Didn't you see my response in #101? It's a privately-owned radio station. They are free to broadcast any prayers they want to, even those of an Abrahamaic-based monotheistic religion.
To: Cultural Jihad
Again no dis-respect intended but you are definetly one american who is in the minority regarding this topic.

I think Islam should be confined to there Mosque's not on any American Radio Station. Then you don't think too highly of our nation, or it's constitution. I suggest you find a nation with a Christian theocratic government, and leave the rest of us to live in freedom. Thanks!
Would you really want to be walking to work and hear a loud speaker calling Muslims to prayer?
Why not? People are forced to listen to sunday morning church bells (i.s. a "Call to prayer"...

Right on!!! It is amazing how people seem to forget 9/11. It is Islam that has stated this war not us. I do not call Islam a religion when it is a right to kill innocent men, women, and children all in the name of allah.
Tolerance, hell no.
To: Jotmo
Yes, but when I see bigoted words, I identify them as such. All I do is describe Reality. Anyone is free to disagree with Reality if they want to.
To: Cultural Jihad
Well I guess time will tell how long they will be able to keep there FCC license.

Would you really want to be walking to work and hear a loud speaker calling Muslims to prayer?Local ordinances against noice disturbances should handle that nicely instead of outlawing a religion.

Again no dis-respect intended but you are definetly one american who is in the minority regarding this topic. Yes, we pro-constitution, freedom-loving types always seem to be in the minority. Pity.

Osama bin Laden would probably thank you for your words of encouragement.
To: missyme
Well I guess time will tell how long they will be able to keep there FCC license. They will keep it for only as long as those of us who support the Constituion fight for that right. Or, until people like you get in a position of power.

CHURCH BELLS!! How dare they!!! This must be stopped.
No wonder this country is sliding headlong into a theocracy. It's all cause of the bells!
