University of Louisville theater professor Lundeana Thomas likes to give public thanks to God when she directs a play.

God "fuels my creativity," Thomas said as she prepared for the Dec. 3-7 staging of "Black Nativity," which is set in a Baptist church and is about celebrating the birth of Jesus.

The policy also limits performer biographical information. The cast biography information is restricted to past performances and the student's year and major.

Just in case someone tries to sneak in some contraband reference to God.

This is disgusting, they should sue, sue, sue the b*st*rds. Whatever happened to the first amendment? This is ridiculous, and if challenged it will not stand. I don't care if you want to thank Fidel Castro, your mom, Jesus or whoever, if that's how you feel, you get to say it. These "tenured radicals" must be defenestrated forthwith.

This is key, I really believe. As the ACLU and universities and institutions become more strident in attacking God and Faith in the public Square, I believe there's a huge opportunity for Christians to come together across racial lines to unite against those who seek to suppress and attack our faith.

Without the votes of African Americans, the Democrats would cease to be a serious political party and the liberal anti-faith judges would not have power. The ACLU is going to start coming after Black Evangelicals soon. My wife was part of an Upward Bound group run by African American Christians and they had a lot of Bible verses and published a lot of religious material in their newsletters.

When the ACLU goes after Black people of faith in large number, there will be a political earthquake, especially as old guard Congresscritters like Major Owens and Edolphus Towns retire.

I do not think these judgments can be made fairly, so the best rule, which applies to everyone, is simply to omit all such references," Brennan said in the memo, obtained under the Kentucky Open Records Act.

This is exactly the reverse of the 1st Amendment which allows that the best course of action for fairness is to PERMIT all speech, even religious speech.

I side with the very adult 1st amendment which recognizes differences.

I am opposed to this nanny college president who thinks he can be a fair referee when actually what he's done is cater to the side that doesn't like God-talk.

Ignore!

When their petty little diatribes are going unnoticed, snubbed, ignored -- dismissed with a snort, then THEY will be the ones will will either have to ESCALATE or back down.

Thanks for the PING, RW.

Simple solution for the collective of "Black Nativity": PLAY THE RACE CARD. It's always worked before...

When the ACLU goes after Black people of faith in large number, there will be a political earthquake,

I doubt that. The Dems have made it their mission in life to support and promote abortion, pornography, homosexual special privileges, and the banning of every possible reference to God and Christianity from public life. There's probably a higher percentage of black Americans who are professing Christians than any other cultural group, yet the black vote still goes 90+% Democrat no matter what.

I would attribute that remarkable party loyalty to Democratic support for civil rights legislation in the 1940s, '50s, and '60s except for one thing, it was filibusters by Democratic Senators which prevented passage of civil rights laws for decades. It was mainly Republicans who fought for civil rights legislation back then and mostly Dems who fought against it.

Since that can't be the reason, I'm left with the assumption that it's mainly because Dems are more generous when it comes to handing out OPM. (other people's money) I'm sure the fact that demagoguing poverty pimps are all Democrats is another factor. Anyone have any better explanations?
