A new bombshell revelation in the Kobe Bryant case threatens to destroy the credibility of the prosecutions key witness - whose testimony could send the basketball superstar to jail for years. Sources told GLOBE that the 19-year-old woman who has accused Bryant of rape told them she had sex with the prosecutions star witness Bobby Pietrack - a week before she met Bryant.
Pietrack, a 23-year-old bellhop at the resort where the alleged rape took place, is the first person Katelyn Faber told about her encounter with Bryant. He can testify about her emotional state and physical appearance at the time.
But legal experts tell us that if there was a sexual encounter between Katelyn and the bellhop, it could wreck his credibility and sink the case of the Eagle County, Colo., prosecutor.
For all the details of this blockbuster story, pick up the new issue of GLOBE.

You've got to admit, Kobe put himself in this position.Yes --- I do admit that which is why I don't really have much pity for him --- he should have learned the Mike Tyson lesson --- it's stupid to have women you don't know come up to your hotel room when you're a celebrity. Sex with total strangers is dangerous --- in more ways than one and Kobe was very stupid.

You've got to admit, Kobe put himself in this position. The rape shield rules were already in place when he decided, at best, to commit adultery by way of anal sex with a woman he'd just met. What? This is not in evidence. You're dealing in vicious gossip.

Actually I avoid this story like the plague if you want to know the truth! I just think that if someone has sex with someone because they want to, it doesn't mean that they can't be raped. Seemed stupid to me, but I am not following this case really! I am sure I have missed a lot!

I'm more than willing to wait, read what comes out, read about the trial, and then make some sort of rational judgement; unlike many here. LOL
Yes, prior history matters. So does the fact that rape is NOT a sexual act. Does Kobe have a history of terrorizing women ? Does the " rapee " have a history of promisquous sexual behavior ? Did the " start witness " have sexual relations with the " rapee " ? All of the afore mentioned should, nay MUST, come into play, when one is rationally looking at this case.

BTW: Finally finished the snail mail to you, it will be in the mail soon, kind of long and thick!

Are we to say that any girl that has had sex can not be raped?? BULL.
Kobe is a large man and she is a small woman.
Even if he is innocent, he is still guilty of being a stupid idiot without a license. I would say no history of rape is a weak argument in his favor considering his history of sex behind his wife's back.
And for someone with this much fame to be making it with strange girls? IMO he deserved the charge just for being a moron and allowing himself to be set up, IF in fact he was.
Personally, I'd say even odds on guilt.

OK, maybe you're right; Kobe was into the good kind of adultery.

A false rape accusation, in a high profile case like this, does irrepairable injustice to the accused and to true victims of rape.
Her story has stunk since the inception and it gets smellier by each emerging fact.
DA's star witness, the bellboy, just happens to be a lover of hers. Whoda thunk, but us.

No, it's what's BUGGING you and those who have decided, for whatever reason/s, that KObe is guilty.
Me ? I'm not a " Kobe partisan "; never even heard of him prior to this case, which I do NOT follow slavishly.
You more than implied, by your previous posts, that Kobe's lawyers had a hand in giving this info to THE GLOBE. And this article, as far as I'm concerned, doesn't lend itself to such. Yet, you keep talking about how Kobe's lawyers are smearing the girl. WHY ?
Today, more and more young women lie about rape; sort of " buyers remorse " in overdrive. Your belief, that Kobe raped her, has no basis in fact, doesn't fill the bill, re as an explination that best fits the facts, and I ask you, yet again: WHY, ON WHAT GROUNDS, ON WHAT PROOF, DO YOU BASE YOUR VISCERAL REACTION OF KOBE'S GUILT AND CONDEMNATION OF OTHERS ?
How much have you ever read about rape cases ? Have you, or anyone you knew/know been involved in a rape case ? Have you ever sat on a jury, during a rape trial ?

Come on. He's NOT charged with adultry.

I haven't followed it slavishly, but I don't think that anyone should decide, on the facts thus far, on anyone's guilt or innocence. You have to admit, though, that this piece of evidence does make for a " hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ".
To: ladyinred
Oh good. Am waiting, ardently, for it. Needless to say, my response will be rather long too. LOL
To: Sabertooth
OK, maybe you're right; Kobe was into the good kind of adultery. I just love your logic stated in all of posts daming Kobe for adultery as if that's the main issue here. Why don't we just completely blur that line and equate adultery with rape and send everyone who's committed adultery to jail:
Frank Gifford was, by all accounts, setup by a stewardess who seduced, still that doesn't mean he couldn't have raped her, and by your logic he did commit adultery so send him to jail!!
Michael Jordan, had a mistress for years. best thing for him would be some prison time!
Rudy Guiliani had an affair outside of marriage, what's the deal with keeping him in public office, adultery is adultery is, well it isn't rape, but it's still really bad and he should be in prison!! Can't you people see this!!
and the list goes on and on
It is so impressively desperate that people can keep their mind's so closed despite every little bit of new information that tears away at the prosecution's case in this. Wake up!!

False rape charges are as immoral/horrid as rape.
False rape charges, for whatever reason, are climbing.
There was culpabilty, stupidity, and yes, lies ( I do believe ) on both sides. None of those things are illegal.
What's even worse, regarding this story, is the racist posts here, implied bigoyry in the case, and the fact that speedy rushes to judgement abounds.
This smells to high heaven...for various and syndry reasons.
To: onyx
Whatever. CP will be along shortly in his latest nom de plume to tell you which way the wind is blowing. In the meantime, the rest of us will just have to deal.
Heaven forbid we are caught without a hillbilly lawyer for a few minutes of speculation on a rape case that is slightly less interesting than Michael Jackson.
Here's a clue: think for yourself.

It was a quip. Of course he's not charged with adultery... that's his best defense.

Here's a clue: think for yourself. Besides being cowardly rude, you're delusional if you believe I do not think for myself. I'm a genius and need no outside help whatsoever.

Yes, it is his defense, and it just may be the truth. Looking better for him all the time.
Strange isn't it, that "others" haven't come forward to claim sexual encounters with him?
