***Hispanic-heavy states like Arizona and Nevada, which will be up for grabs.***
Arizona used to be a Rock-Ribbed GOP state. But thanks to illegal immigration, AZ is in play for the RATS. Open borders will be the death of the GOP.

"Arizona used to be a Rock-Ribbed GOP state. But thanks to illegal immigration, AZ is in play for the RATS. Open borders will be the death of the GOP."Spot on.
Every fundraising letter I get from the GOP goes back (most of the time empty) with a letter demanding they not only get serious about illegal immigration on our southern border, but demanding they CUT IN HALF current legal immigration quotas.
Will my letters do any good? I doubt it.
To me, immigration is the number one issue, outweighing all others. I can't stand the idea of my kids and grandkids growing up in a third world type country where English-Judeo-European culture and language is shunned. It would be the end of America as we know it.

The problem is that we have become brainwashed by Political Correctness. Anyone who advocates Closed Borders, he/she is branded a racist.
The pro-open borders crowd are amazing. They demand cities to pass "Sanctuary Laws" which forbid the police to inquire about a suspect's immigration status. Even if the police do find out that a suspect is an illegal, they don't tell the INS. Plus, cities accept the Matricular Consular card as a valid form of ID.
It is sheer madness. Terrorists have the means to destroy us!

My suspicion about the discussions within the White House during the summer 2001 were more looking to the long-term future for Republicans and the Latino vote rather than specific gains in the Latino vote for 2004.
----------------------
Judging from the low percentage of voter turnout, future presidential elections will be held within a pool of 412 gays, 373 lesbians, and 347 Mexicans with the remainder of the country staying home in disgust and dispair. Keep it up, Georgie.

LOL
People are really disgusted with Bush and the immigration issue. I don't think Bush has fooled anyone by not addressing the issue of immigration. All this poppycock about the poor Mexicans doesn't mean jack-sh!t when you can't get into an ER because it is flooded with Mexicans. People are fed up with it.

President Bush is trying to push up his Hispanic vote to 40 percent in 2004 from between 24 and 35 percent in 2000, depending on various exit polls.
Think again, Jorge. This issue is very hot and will not sit well with your base. What will you gain if you increase 5% and alienate 45%? It's past time you convinced us you give a dam about jobs for Americans.
To: dyno35
Don't stop! The Senate is finally starting to wake up on this issue. Keep the heat on!
To: WhiteGuy
One? So far it looks like 7 out of 13 replies are negative for Bush in '04.

Base? A man who lost the popular vote to an owlgore moron in a low turnout election never had a base.

I got a phone call from the Republican Party, asking poll like questions. Do I think Bush is doing a good job, will I work to support him.
I told them I wouldn't be voting or working, that he needs to tap some illegals on the shoulder to carry his water for him...I have left the plantation.
