Someone, the detective told Tritt, wanted the singer dead.

I think Peggy Hill might know something about this.

My sympathies to Travis Tritt. He's a great entertainer and a well-respected member of the country music community.

Travis, I assume you're armed being a good ole boy but if your're not armed or you're armed and not trained, I would suggest taking a couple of weeks off and doing just that.

I like tritt's music but (and i have not been able to confirm this absolutely) but a friend of mine went to a concert of his 3 or 4 yrs ago here and she claims he made the statement that the only reason he made the video of the guy in the wheel chair was because he knew it would make money but that he really hated viet nam vets.
I have trouble believing this, because #1. his music crosses several age boundaries and if he had made a statement like that here, he most likely would have really been in a wheel chair.
# 2. he would have been a has been lots faster than the ditzy chicks.
I listened to her say this, but like i said, have had no other confirmation of him saying this and i really find it hard to believe.

Mr. Tritt's house isn't 15 miles from mine, in Paulding county.
A girl I know killed her geo on his brick mailbox.

I can't believe he said that either as i seem to remember him talking a while back on the O'Reilly Factor (regarding the Dixie Chicks) and basically it was brought out about how he has been a big time supporter of veteran's groups and has performed at many events for the troops and supports the war and so forth. I don't remember exactly what was said but it was something along those lines and i definitely got the impression that he is a good guy and a true patriot.

Was the mailbox repairable? I assume the geo was a total loss. ;-)
Hope she was OK.

I doubt that is true for two reasons. First of, I saw Travis Tritt on the O'Reilly Show during the Dixie Chicks controversy and he was clearly on our side of the issue. Secondly, if any country singer said something like that in a concert, he wouldn't have many fans left. For example, the Dixie Chicks.
