This is very easy. Walk door-to-door with a lawnmower and take your payments in cash. No SSN required. THe benfits aren't the best, but I worked for six years prior to my 16th Birthday and obviously didn't have a SSN.

If you have no SSN , or refuse to use the one you were issued, you may not be able to purchase stocks, be an employee of a big corporation, get welfare, hold a professional license, take out a mortgage, or be used as a tax deduction by your parents. In some places, you can't even rent a DVD.

But besides that, it's no hinderance at all! LOL.

"FOR SOCIAL SECURITY PURPOSES * NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION"

Just one more boldfaced lie in the long, long history of dishonesty and incrementalism from our government.

...or be used as a tax deduction by your parents...

I don't have the cites, but I heard this discussed about a year back. The guest claimed that the absence of the SS# when claiming the dependent didn't disallow the deduction, the absence of a SS# merely causes the imposition of a $50 fee for said absence - the deduction still attaches.

I love when places like Blockbuster asks for your SSN no. or when Radio Shack asks you for all your personal info short of a stool sample just to buy a $2.35 telephone jack.

Well, if you are like me and you just don't like giving it out willy-nilly, you can always use a fake one. I think my school has a fake one, the movie rental people, etc. I just throw random numbers back a them when they ask.

This give me a fun idea. Since our wonderful government has been so friendly to illegal aliens lately, maybe I'll put my SSN up for sale on E-bay. I've been contemplating 'going underground' for a long time now.
