This is very easy. Walk door-to-door with a lawnmower and take your payments in cash. No SSN required. THe benfits aren't the best, but I worked for six years prior to my 16th Birthday and obviously didn't have a SSN.

And then, when the person that refuses to use a SS number and submit to FICA withholding is old and sick, they then use the system to pay for their medical assistance. I know this happens based on a personal acquaintance.

If you have no SSN , or refuse to use the one you were issued, you may not be able to purchase stocks, be an employee of a big corporation, get welfare, hold a professional license, take out a mortgage, or be used as a tax deduction by your parents. In some places, you can't even rent a DVD. But besides that, it's no hinderance at all! LOL.

My social security card says quite plainly right on it that it is not to be used for identification purposes.

"FOR SOCIAL SECURITY PURPOSES * NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION"
Just one more boldfaced lie in the long, long history of dishonesty and incrementalism from our government.

...or be used as a tax deduction by your parents...I don't have the cites, but I heard this discussed about a year back. The guest claimed that the absence of the SS# when claiming the dependent didn't disallow the deduction, the absence of a SS# merely causes the imposition of a $50 fee for said absence - the deduction still attaches.

It won't be an issue in twenty years, anyway, as the system should be fully flat on its a$$. It will be a needs-based (welfare) program by that point, if it exists at all.
But the article seems to suggest this as a way of evading taxation, or am I reading between the lines too much?

when i was 9 years old in a small midwestern town i mowed at least a dozen lawns all Spring, Summer, and Fall, one was an entire block i remember and had 4 houses and yards - and i got a SS Card because the Postmaster there told me I had to have one to work ... and I got one ... lol (i never knew the next step).
most were little old ladies with very good lemonade and iced tea :)

In my experience, there seems to be a correlation between not using a SS number, not filing/paying income tax, and, believe it or not, Christian Identity theology.

I love when places like Blockbuster asks for your SSN no. or when Radio Shack asks you for all your personal info short of a stool sample just to buy a $2.35 telephone jack.

Good article, tanks for the ping bub...

That's because stool sample is primarily what Radio Shack sells. If you already had a pile of crap for them to sample, you wouldn't have to go to Rat Shack to buy a pile of crap.
