I don't think you have to be a citizen to sue, or, if there is such a law, it is ignored. I look at depositions all day long as part of my job, and I am here to tell you, illegal aliens can and do file lawsuits all the time. They are utterly brazen. They know they can do whatever they want. There is no downside for them.

Thanks for the ping. I'm interested on what goes on up in Iowa since my Moms from there.

If the Feds are not going to deport these illegals, states like Iowa and Illinois are going to have to make their states as "Illegal Unfriendly" as possible. Just say "NO" to illegal driver license. Make them ride in buggies like the Amish.

The illegals have been suing for years and collecting. NO, you don't have to be a citizen to sue. However, it has always been hard or a no, no for Americans to sue the government.

From some of you that know the law, I would like your comment. Isn't it a fact that Americans can't sue the government? Maybe, only in special cases and, if so, what are those special cases?

More and more people are getting angry. Just broach the subject and you will get an ear full. I always end the conversation about who I will vote for or against regarding illegal immigration.

One solution would be to say they can use their Mexican drivers licenses --- but they'll still sue because many never had a drivers license ever --- anywhere -- not in Mexico either. Many never got behind the wheel until they came here --- cars are still a luxury in Mexico. They've never learned English and can't read our signs, they don't understand mph because in Mexico everything is in kilometers, they could never pass a drivers test or afford auto insurance.

Next thing you'll know the illegals will demand the right to vote.

You don't even have to be alive to vote as a Democrat. Why should you have to be a citizen? < /sarcasm>

Thanks to "motor voter," where all one needs to do to register to vote is produce a valid driver's license, that is the "next thing," and they won't have to demand it. It comes with the driver's license.

Of course, this was not the liberals' plan all along. No-o-o-o-o-o-o-o...
