Blair is simply brilliant in oratory.

Bush is very direct and sincere.

Together, they are a powerful force for freedom and decency. Wow! Glory to God for His blessings!

I too admire Tony Blair's ability to speak so well, but imo Bush's speeches have been superb. Both countries are well served by their resolve to fight evil wherever it occurs.

Because he doesn't use focus groups to make decisions......maybe because he shows real leadership.

Question ~ "What do you say to people protesting you in the streets of a free nation?"
-- Answer: Bush: "I'd say that I love that freedom."

Ha! Eat that London!

The President and Prime Minister are showing true resolve in The War on Terror in answering the press' questions. Thank God GWB is in charge.

My sentiments exactly... Imagine Bill Clinton or Al Gore up on that podium this morning... or making a speech like Bush's the other day at White Hall. Scary.

Blair: "It's defeat them [terrorists] or be defeated by them."

What a spot the mainstream media is in today. Cover the bombings by Islamic extremist, or the protest marches by their "useful idiots"?

Or worse yet, imagine Daffy Dean on the podium this morning. That's real scary.

I pray that this horrible example of terrorism will refocus the media on THE WAR instead of Kobe, Peterson, and MJ.

Talking to my husband who has been involved with the Turkish soldiers over in Turkey...I asked him what the repercussions were from the standpoint of the Turkish people and this was his response: "The Turkish soldiers not only have exemplary intelligence, but they are very fierce fighters. Remember the soldier that fired his gun off in Iraq who will probably be court martialed?.....When the Turkish soliders get a hold of the terriorist groups that did this bombing in their back yard, they won't be firing a gun off in the air....they will literally "draw and quarter" these terrorists a piece at a time....

Blair is eloquent, without doubt. He (normally) outshines Bush in off-the-cuff comments.

But Bush's speeches are better. In my opinion, Bush's speeches are the best we've had from a President. Reagan had better presentation and a knack for connecting with the audience, but Bush's speeches are absolutely magnificent.

Brit Hume said that the question by the ITV reporter ("What do you say to the families of those people who were killed because of standing shoulder to shoulder witih that man beside you?") shows the mentality that President Bush is up against...the idea of "don't stir up the hornet's nest."

Good analysis by Brit, and he sounds quite contemptuous of the reporter. Also, he talks about Pelosi's famous comment about not going into Iraq because they might use WMD on us.
