Making CA CCW A Reality!!!Learn How at "ATF Night" Thursday
www.BrantukForAssembly.org ^ | Nov. 19, 2003 | John W. Brantuk, Candidate for CA Assembly

Posted on 11/19/2003 8:35:18 PM PST by Mr.B.goes.to.Washington

"If you continue to do what you've always done, you'll continue to get what you've always got!"

As Patriots and supporters of the Constitution and especially the Second Amendment, aren't we all tired of fighting an uphill battle just attempting to limit the erosion of our rights? We spend our time and treasure burning ourselves out, not working at EXPANDING our Rights, but just trying to stem the damage done by those working to destroy our Rights.

Perhaps it's time for us to try a new approach; an aggressive approach in which we go on the OFFENSE, aimed at FULLY RESTORING our Second Amendment Rights and for once and for all putting our opposition on the defense.

To that end, at this week's ATF Night we will hear from Mr. John Longenecker, who has developed a concept which will excite and energize you, and most probably scare the pants off of those who would like to see the private ownership of guns outlawed.

John will show us this Thursday how in the discussion of personal weapons and Concealed Carry, we have a vital and useful precedent in public policy and interest . . .

John was one of the earliest Paramedics trained in Los Angeles. As John recently reminded me, during the 1970's, we battled, debated and endeavored to inaugurate something many of us take for granted today. John was personally involved, and as you know, we prevailed. Today it's known as Citizen CPR.

The objections to the Paramedic/Citizen CPR program which were encountered when it was proposed were many; "You'll exceed the scope of your authority; you'll do more harm than good; laymen aren't professional, therefore there's no sense of commitment; how will we keep them sharp?" and much more. Don't these arguments sound familiar to the arguments made against issuing CCW's?

The CPR argument and history serve as a most useful model in making the case for Concealed Carry. Come hear how we can use this as an OFFENSIVE tool to put our opposition on the run. Mr. Longenecker is presenting this publicly for the FIRST time at our ATF Night, and he sincerely desires and needs YOUR response and input so that it can be fully prepared to make a tremendous impact on the public discussion regarding CCWs.

Don't miss this opportunity to be in at the beginning of something so exciting and life-changing!

What is "ATF Night"?

No, we're not the federal gun control agency. We are a social gathering of Second Amendment and liberty activists and leaders who meet monthly to discuss firearms-related issues over (optional) adult beverages and dinner, and afterwards, those so inclined may choose to step outside to continue discussions while enjoying a fine cigar - hence the name.

Originally hosted by The Lawyers' Second Amendment Society, the meetings have continued thanks to the leadership assumed by John Brantuk, Republican Nominee for the California State Assembly ( see www.BrantukForAssembly.org )

You don't have to be an activist to join us - newcomers and the curious are always welcome.

And admission is always free.

Dry counties are near non-issue counties. I'd really like to see us move to shall-issue.
