BATON ROUGE - Louisiana Senate Secretary Mike Baer made a racially offensive remark on live television election night Saturday.
But black senators said they would not ask for his resignation. And WAFB-TV apologized to its viewers throughout Monday.
Baer, who is elected by senators as the state Senate's chief administrative officer, also apologized.

The question is not whether the black precincts "can" count correctly, but rather "are" they counting correctly?

Hi TR -- the article doesn't say if Baer is a (D) or an (R). I assume a (D) and the writer is covering for him?

But black senators said they would not ask for his resignation.I read this and realized he had to be a democRAT.
That said, I don't believe his comment was racist, just stupid.

Geez, what do they want? It's the democrats, for the past three years, who have been claiming that black people are too stupid to know how to vote properly. Now that that lie is catching on, they complain.

LOL
If the hapless official had been a Republican, I think we can be sure that they would have "come and got them"!

If the guy is a Republican, blacks always scream for a resignation not matter how slight or imagined the alleged slight might be.
Although, Louisiana blacks are very senseyive about their voting numbers. The dems pay $5 to $10 for each dead black who votes and the precinct leaders get a cut. Since they can't "pay" at the time of the vote, there is always some after the fact hassle on who is entitled to how much. The white dem precinct folks ALWAYS screw the black people who actually stood in for the dead guy. Thus, they kid that the extra money in the white dems pocket is because they cheated the blacks but because the blacks can't count. One day, black voters in LA and all over the US will wake up and realize that it doesn't make sense for them to ALWAYS vote for the dem.

Sen. Charles Jones, D-Monroe, called the remark "ill-advised and irresponsible" but said he accepted Baer's apology because he knows he is not a racist a DemocRAT.

Throughout America the Black community has sat on its hands for the last thirty years as Democrat initiatives have allowed the dumbing down of Black youth. Thus, why should the Black community get in an uproar when it is presumed that its leaders can't count? Hell, the White community doesn't get excited when someone claims its leadership is stupid. It is taken for granted.

No! I swear!
Count the lines. Only 5 of them.
I wrote the _ _ _ _ _ word. Rhymes with mack.
As a matter of fact, I'm so paranoid the P/C cops will arrest me, I never use the word _ _ _ _ _ . I simply point to it on a color chart, which I always have in my pocket.

Once again, the deafening sound of egg shells cracking, as America tries to tip-toe around the NAACP and ACLU and NOW etc....
