Last night on the history channel I saw Mr & Mrs. Connely say that they believed the shots did *not* come from behind.
I also saw a number of other people who were interviewed at the time, say that the shots came from the grassy knoll.
One man standing on the grassy knoll, hit the dirt because a bullet whizzed past his ear. He said there were 2 men behind the fence at the top of the knoll.
Some of the interviews were done at the time, others more recent.
I Tivo'd it, if you want to come over & watch, come on over.

I've only seen two shots, the longside shot that shows rifling and two miniscule dents and the front on that looks kind of mushed. I haven't even seen anything that would indicate that they're the same bullet, though neither view looks like a bullet that went through three body parts hitting 2 bones and lodged in a fourth.
I don't care what gun it came from. I'm not buying that it did what they say it did.

I haven't seen any drawing or animation that seems to match the body positions, from either the conspiracy or no-conspiracy crowds.
In the end there are just too many wierd lose ends. To me there are four key questions all of which must be answered to buy into the official version:
Why was Oswald arrested twice on that day
How in the world did he get 3 shots off with a bolt action rifle with any degree of accuracy
How did the bullet do what it's supposed to have
Why are the records sealed until long after everybody involved will be dead
As long as those four are wide open, especially the last, I can't believe the Warren Report is accurate.

I hope you are watching Court TV right now. They just proved that one bullet could have gone through Kennedy and Connaly both and still ended up looking like the "magic bullet" did. There are no "90 degree turns" or any other fantasy involved. The key is the fact that Connaly was turning around to face Kennedy when he was hit. He was not facing forward. And the Mannlicher-Carcano bullet almost always tumbles after passing through soft tissue. Someone asked Connaly to take off his shirt so he could see the wound he had -- and he did! It was exactly the length of a Mannlicher-Carcano bullet entering sideways.

And there's always the lagging question: if it really was just a lonenut then why are the record sealed?
Bingo!

And had no significant deformation on hitting a rib and a wristbone?! Riiiiiiggggghhhhhht. While we're chatting maybe you'd like to buy a spare bridge I've got. So this wound of Connaly's was that the exit wound or entrance wound? And how was it treated? Did they need to do any probing, internal or external stitching that might have changed the shape and dimensions of the wound? Has he lost or gained any weight in the intervening 40 years which would also change the shape and dimensions of the wound?
The fantasy is all yours. That bullet could not have done what they said it did.

And had no significant deformation on hitting a rib and a wristbone?! They had a guy on who did test with a FMJ mannlicher carcano bullet passing through animal carcasses and in most cases the bullet looked exactly like the so-called magic bullet. He did tests. You have not. You refuse to believe real evidence when it is presented to you. You are not open minded. An open-minded person accepts the results of tests even if they are not the results that were expected. You are close-minded to anything that does not agree with your pre-conceived notions of how things "should be" and not how they "are".

So when his "test shots" passed through animal carcasses did he shoot it through 4 different chunks of animal flesh with two deflections off bone? If not then his test was innacurate and worthless.
I haven't had any real evidence presented to me. My mind is open to any reasonable explanation.

But you dismiss all arguments other than your pre-conceived notion. So you really aren't open.

I'm halfway through Animal House, why in God's name would I interupt that for Court TV? You're giving me the hilights and so far they aren't very impressive. Let me know when they start talking about why the records are still closed 40 years later, I'm sure their explanation will be quite funny.
I haven't dismissed the arguments, I've asked follow up questions. Your inability to answer them doesn't make them dismassal, it just makes them inconvenient for you.
