Some Relevant Facts About the JFK Assassination

There's an explosive new book that lays out a very detailed and persuasive case for the probability that the late President Lyndon Baines Johnson was responsible for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
I say persuasive because the author, Barr McClellan, was one of LBJ's top lawyers, and he provides a lot of information hitherto unknown to the general public much more of which he says is buried in secret documents long withheld from the American people.
"The American public has waited forty years to hear the truth about the JFK assassination," McClellan says. "For government agencies to withhold critical evidence and not cooperate with the [1998 investigation conducted by the Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB)] is a form of obstruction of justice. Under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act, the public should be granted access to these documents."
According to McClellan and Doug Horne, a former ARRB investigator, hundreds of relevant documents were withheld from the 1998 investigation into the JFK assassination. They believe that these materials are now in the possession of the National Archives, relocated from sealed files previously controlled by the CIA and FBI.
McClellan also asked for a formal review of the evidence in his book, "Blood, Money & Power: How L.B.J. Killed J.F.K.," which establishes a direct connection between LBJ and an individual involved with the assassination and cover-up.
"At this time we need to see what else is missing and what else would be helpful to presenting the entire truth," McClellan continued. "The Senate Judiciary Committee and the Department of Justice could make the request of the National Archives and should do so."
Now, in normal circumstance I would tend to view this latest explanation of who was behind the killing of JFK as exactly that just another theory among dozens. But the circumstances are not normal. Poll after poll establishes that an overwhelming majority of Americans believe that the official verdict of the Warren Commission is simply not borne out by what little is known publicly about the case.
McClellan's new book adds to those facts and names a second suspect he says was a longtime assassin for Lyndon Johnson, whom he portrays as ... well, as being homicidal whenever he or his many concealed interests were threatened.
Add to that the incredible inconsistencies in the FBI and Secret Service investigations, which reek with the stench of cover-up, and one can't escape the conclusion that if LBJ did nothing else in dealing with the aftermath of the assassination, he sure as hell clamped a lid on any evidence that contradicted the official finding that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman acting solely on his own initiative.
I report all of this as a prelude to revealing what I know about the matter but have never before written about in the beginning, because I had a wife and seven children to protect, and since, because I had no reason to revisit the matter.

This thread is going to go one of two ways. Either it is going to get yanked rather quickly, or it is going to be one of the longest-running threads in FReep History.
I'll throw my two-cents in. I, like most everyone else I have ever talked to, believe there was a lot more buried by the Warren Commission report than was revealed. I, like most other people I know, do not believe Oswald acted alone.
Other than that, I have no idea. I do remember hearing that a number of Marine snipers tried to re-enact the event using the same distances, angles, car speeds, etc., and they couldn't. Not with the cheapo rifle Oswald was supposed to use, and not with their best sniper rifles.

One of the jokes on "Laugh-In" in the mid sixties was "Money can't buy happiness, but in Texas it can sure buy votes." They were refering to LBJ.

There was more than just a fingerprint, there were several fingerprints and a left-palm print of Oswalds on one of the boxes stacked in the snipers nest....there were also other fingerprints that were never identified. The problem with
Oswalds fingerprints and palm print is that the 6th floor was Oswalds assigned work area....his prints would have been on many of the boxes there. All the presence
of his prints prove is what is already known....that he worked on the sixth floor.

While most Americans have grave reservations about the findings of the Warren Commission. Every conspiracy theorist takes that truth and implies that "most Americans subscribe to their pet theory". As outlined below, there are several possibilities. I haven't heard anyone recently polling to find out what most Americans actually believe.
I think most of the conservative Republicans I talked with during that time felt that it was fairly clear that Lee Harvey Oswald was involved. We also believed that there was something being hidden. However, the something was probably a second gunman which would have pointed to a wider conspiracy.
Let's look at the possibilities:
1) Lee Harvey Oswald wasn't involved
This clearly opens the door widely to a "name your favorite scoundrel who you believe was guilty" feeding frenzy.
2) Lee Harvey Oswald was involved with two further alternactive:
2A) Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.
The government seemed to want to come to this conclusion so that it could be asserted that he acted "on his own" with no conspiracy. This was the conclusion of the Warren Commission. However, he could have still acted as an agent for someone else. Cuba certainly comes to mind since Oswald had actively been involved in Cuban politics.
2B) Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone.
This assumes that there was at least one other gunman. (How many more doesn't really seem to be relevant.)
Of course, this means that there was a conspiracy involving Lee Harvey Oswald. Now we are to the crux of my problem with this article: How would Johnson get Oswald to participate in a conspiracy to help Johnson?
Instead, I would propose that there were probably other conspirators and that the U.S. did NOT want to implicate any foreign power for a variety of reasons.

Johnson passed the actual planning and execution of the assasination to a man named Mac Wallace, who had been arrested in Austin, Texas, in the late 50's and convicted of murder. Through Johnson, a 5 year suspended sentence was arranged, with the apparent understanding that Mac Wallace would be Johnson's "man" from then on. All Lyndon Johnson had to do was tell Mac Wallace what he wanted done, and then tell him who to go see to get the ball rolling (probably J. Edgar Hoover) After that, no further involvement was needed on Johnsons part. Oswald's background was made known among the fanatically anti-communist oilmen in Texas at that time, a Marine who had defected to Russia and then returned to settle in Ft. Worth... the perfect patsie in 1963. .More than likely, Oswald wasn't the only person who died within days of the assassination,I would think the middle-level managers of this operation went away fairly quickly, too. It would be interesting to know if death records for the period Nov-May, 1963 in both Dallas and Austin would still be available, and then somehow cross-check that information
to see who might have been present in Dallas that day.
Mac Wallace was in Dallas Nov 22nd and was seen exciting the County Records building shortly after the killing....this building is one of the suspected sites for another shooter. A spent 30.06 shell was found under a lip of roofing shingle by an air conditioning repairman working
on the roof of this buidling in the late 1980's.

The one unidentified fingerprint in the sniper's nest has been recently identified as the left pinky finger of a guy named Wallace who just happened to be an LBJ operative who apparently was one of his hired thugs and assassins. 34 points of congruence... to quote the fingerprint expert who did the comparison, "That's a slam dunk!"

There are THREE contemporary photographs of the front door of the School Book Repository showing a man who is the spitting image of Lee Harvey Oswald standing ther watching the motorcade go by just seconds before the fatal shots. The man is wearing identical clothing to the clothing Oswald was wearing. It is where Oswald said he was standing.

Stunning, simply stunning. All along I have been led to believe that a conspiracy would have been rich Texas oilmen and Nixon. (Or Castro, or Russia, or the Mafia).
But not a fellow democrat. Mercy be. Why would Ford and the Warren commission cover for Johnson?
Fear of death? Could just be, if he had already had the sitting President murdered.

Johnson passed the actual planning and execution of the assasination to a man named Mac Wallace, It was Mac Wallace whose fingerprint has recently been identified as the one that was found on the packing box in the sniper's nest on the sixth floor. There was no reason for him to be there... he did not work in the building.

Mac Wallace's fingerprint was found in the supposed sniper's nest of Oswald.

Well...Ford became the only man to ever serve as both President and Vice President without ever having been elected to either post. That sure could get a lot of people to cooperate.
