It looks like Agostino's may have gone out of business, see this lawsuit:
Opinion filed November 29, 2000

PATRICK C. CONNOLLY and ROBERT T. CONNOLLY,
Appellants,
v.
AGOSTINO'S RISTORANTE, INC.,
Appellee.

The only Agostino's coming up on google is in Tampa, not Clearwater.

No -- same police report -- he worked at some "Ristorante" at the time. (The name of the restaurant is given, I just don't remember it.) I don't know where the McDonalds story came from (perhaps he worked there at some other time).

The weiner (MS) had a job selling hot dogs on the beach. MS reminds me of Ignatius Reilly (sp?) "Schiavo said Terri's parents and two younger siblings weren't there to help in the early years when he was struggling to care for his ailing wife, selling hot dogs on the beach to raise money and holding onto hope that she would get better".

We regulars know because we have investigated, but there are always visitors, lurkers and a few trolls who need to hear the truth.

I know this is a re-hash/repost, but I'm doing so because we are discussing the position of the body, the time the calls were made, etc. From this website: By Father Rob Johansen Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003

Michael Schiavo went into some detail on Larry King describing the circumstances of the injury which caused Terri to be in her present state. Michael claimed that he woke up in the middle of the night, then heard a loud thud. He went out into the hall, he said, and saw Terri lying in the hallway. She was, he said, unconscious. Michael then stated that he called Terri's brother Bobby, who lived in the same apartment complex as Terri and Michael. He then said that Bobby told him to call 911 and that he would come over. Michael claimed that he was holding Terri in his arms when Bobby arrived. The paramedics arrived a short time later and began to try to revive her. I asked the Schindlers how his account meshed with what they knew happened at the time.

Bob Schindler replied "that isn't what happened at all. What happened was that Michael called us first, and I answered the phone. He told me that Terri had collapsed and was unconscious. I told him to call 911. Then I called Bobby and told him to get over there. I said 'something's going on over there, get over there right now.'" Bob also said that Michael's claim that he was holding Terri in his arms was untrue. "When Bobby arrived at their place," Bob explained, "he found Terri lying face down in the hallway, with her feet over the threshold of the doorway, as though she had been coming out of the bedroom. Her hands were clutched around her throat, and her breathing was gurgling. Michael was sitting on the couch in the living room; he was a total basket case."

Selling hot dogs on the beach is a good way to pick up girls. And he can flash this cool ring he's wearing that he made for himself from Terri's wedding rings.

Also this, from the same site:

Terri's heart stopped for several minutes that night, and that stoppage caused the brain damage that led to her current condition. It is frequently asserted in press accounts that Terri had a "heart attack." This too is false. There was no heart attack, and again, doctors have testified to that effect. A heart attack causes the release of certain enzymes into the bloodstream. These enzymes are readily discovered in tests and are used as the "markers" of a heart attack. No such enzymes were found in Terri's bloodstream, nor any other evidence of a heart attack. Terri's heart was and is quite healthy: there was no heart attack.

So what happened to cause Terri to lose consciousness? No one is sure, because there was never a proper investigation. The Schindlers do not accept Michael's version of what happened to Terri. Also, Bob related, "it's in the medical record that when Terri was brought into the hospital she had bruises around her neck." Doctors for the Schindlers have testified that those bruises were consistent with manual strangulation. Furthermore, skull x-rays and head CT scans done about a year after her injury indicated fractures to the occipital region which have never been explained. These fractures are consistent with trauma to the head."

I don't know what type of "occipital fracture" Terri has; however, here's information on an occipital condylar fracture:

Occipital condylar fracture
Occipital bone: the cuplike bone at the back of the skull that has a large opening (the foramen magnum) that links with the spinal canal.

Occipital condylar fracture results from a high-energy blunt trauma with axial compression, lateral bending, or rotational injury to the alar ligament. These fractures are subdivided into 3 types based on the morphology and mechanism of injury (Anderson, 1988). An alternative classification divides these fractures into stable and displaced, ie, with and without ligamentous injury (Tuli, 1997).

Type I fracture is secondary to axial compression resulting in comminution of the occipital condyle. This is a stable injury.

Type II fracture results from a direct blow, and, despite being a more extensive basioccipital fracture, type II fracture is classified as stable because of the preserved alar ligament and tectorial membrane.

Type III fracture is an avulsion injury as a result of forced rotation and lateral bending. This is potentially an unstable fracture.

Occipital condylar fracture is a very rare and serious injury (Legros, 1999). Most of the patients with occipital condylar fracture, especially with type III, are in a coma and have other associated cervical spinal injuries. These patients also may present with other lower cranial nerve injuries and hemiplegia or quadriplegia

Did you see this "translation" of Dr. Walker's report of the bone scan??
NOTE: The person who helped with the spelling and definitions said simply, what the doctor described would be the results of someone who had been kicked, and kicked and kicked. The thoracic damage was possibly from strangulation. If a person is strangulated it follows there would be a loss of oxygen to the brain -- causing brain damage -- as the blood supply was blocked. - Jackie

Like pushing down hard from behind while using his forearm to strangle her from in front. Might not leave any external marks.

I took a look at Christopher Reeve's web site but can't tell if this is the same injury he suffered. (Incidentally, why doesn't somebody pull HIS plug.)

She had no illegal drugs in her system at the time, per the police report.....but what drugs may she have had in her system? What about something to "put her out" enough to cause her to be too groggy to defend herself?

A doctor I asked said it looks like "somebody beat the crap out of her."

The trauma was bad enough to be consistent with an auto wreck. Maybe Michael ran over her with his hot dog stand.

Relevant Anatomy and Physiology

The occipital bone (identified in green at the back of the skull) continues underneath the brain to produce the posterior fossa of the basal skull (Diagram 2). The temporal (pink) and sphenoid bones (yellow) make up the major structures of the middle fossa of the basal skull. The anterior fossa consists primarily of the frontal bone (shown in brown), however, most of the frontal bone is covered in Diagram 2 by the maxilla (roof of the mouth, identified by blue). A small component of the parietal bone (gray) extends under the brain to produce the lateral edge of the base of the skull.

Of course, of course... being a very competent young lady she purposely did a front-flip in order to confuse the evidence. Sheeesh... what a clever little vegitable, eh??? ;-))

The ER drug tests came up negative, and I imagine they cover some common prescription drugs or at least the bodily effects of drugs in general. Still possible that drugs had some role but it doesn't seem likely. He didn't need 'em. He's much bigger than she. If he wrestled her down, and got on her back to hold her down, and cut off her air, there seems little or nothing she could do to defend herself.
