[history]
I lay awake in bed for three hours straight this Thursday, panicking that I have become way too choosy when it comes to blind dates. After all, isn't New York full of lonely women in their 30s who think no one is good enough?

SIC is written by male homosexuals. It is what they think they would be like as womenOr, more likely, it is what they think women are like.

You're just not meeting the right girls. :)

Your date with ME is going to be written up in your COLUMN in the morning? Bye. I hadn't envisioned it quite that clearly, but you have an excellent point.
This guy probably felt like a social experiment by the end of the night.
Anyway, this chick is hell-bent on getting 10 dates by Christmas, so we'd both better look out.

It's why so many men marry foreign born women. We just get tired of women for whom no man is good enough.

Ask the question, ask the question, ask the question!
It will save you not only lots of time but lots of heartache. Believe me, your future happiness is on the line.
I spent TWENTY YEARS with a liberal NY metrosexual and his liberal family, and holiday dinners alone are reason enough to avoid a serious relationship with a liberal. Election years will be a special kind of hell. If anything like Election 2000 occurs again, you may well be locked up, either for insanity or murder.
When it was finally over, I swore that, if there was a "next time", that *I* wanted to be the liberal half of the couple (and now I am, heehee).
Forget about likes and dislikes and rock festivals and deserts, politics is where the rubber really meets the road. Ask the darned question.

Is that Miss Morford with lipstick on her face? Looks like homage to the Riddler.

lol..yep, I'd have to agree there.....in a war Texas could whip most countries.
it was a joke from a country band girl singer addressing some rowdy yeehaw Tejas boys at the front of the stage.
I'll always remember that little one liner. I think OK and TX use that on one another as well.
Here in TN, one would substitute goats for sheep ....or if feeling really nasty..."sisters"

wow....sounds like the old West's early days when a lot of men married prostitutes...or modern day Tibet where many women have multiple husbands to keep family farm plots between brothers intact.

Another evidence of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle!

I know it sounds crazy, but I was musing that if I start dating again, I ought to ask right off the bat: "What party do you belong to, and who did you vote for in the 1996 and 2000 elections?" It would save so much time. Maybe that sounds intolerant of ME, but it would definitely say a lot about her values that might take several dates otherwise. OF COURSE. Gee. That should be one of the first things you establish before you go out with someone. And I put that criterion ahead of finding out if they're of the same faith, too. Doesn't do much good if they're Christian but leftist as well.

Sounds like a rehash of a certain Seinfeld episode where Elaine finds Mr. Perfect until Jerry introduces the abortion issue to cloud her sunny skies. Elaine of course expects her Mr. Perfect to be pro choice but she hadn't asked him about it. Of course when she does broach the subject he says he yearns for the day the Roe vs. Wade decision will be repealed. End of relationship with some boo hooing by Elaine because he was so perfect in every other way. On to episode # 117. It's kind of sad your life is actually a sitcom episode from a few years ago.

I didn't say I'd date her! I have standards.
"Horror show" to me would be Rosie O'Donnell or Amy Carter.
This girl's not horror show. She's more of an Ugh. Like Arianna Huffington.
