With Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collens, Leon Wilkeson, and Steve Gaines all dead, and-last I check-Artimus Pyle not involved, I'd say, you're not seeing Lynyrd Skynrd at all, and haven't for many years.

Sorry to rain on your parade. I love Lynyrd Skynyrd. The first concert I ever went to was the Rossington Collins Band (1981.) I went to the 91 Tribute tour, which was justified as a tribute. What Rossington has been doing, IMHO, is robbing the memory of a great band.

They should have left it alone, to be remembered in dignity, instead of paraded around as a pathetic self parody. If Ronnie were alive, I have to believe he'd kick the living shit out of Rossington and Rickey Medlocke.

Mine too. Derek Hess (drummer with the Rossington Collins Band) was a friend of mine and I often got to hang around all of these guys... Of course, that was many many years ago when I was still a tree hugger! :)
