US Constitutiona Amendment to Save Marriage...NOW!
Self | 11-18-03 | Always Right

Now that the Mass. Supreme Court has acted to force the legislature to adopt gay marriage, the time is now for Republicans to act to save this most basic institution of this country. We need a US Constitutional Amendment to save us from activist courts who assult religion and basic family values. The public will be outraged over this and the GOP must capitolize on it. The GOP must put the Democrats in a bind. Oppose the Amendment and lose their base, or support it and expose themselves as the radicals they are.

Now is the time to act. Put this issue at the forefront for the next election. Don't just make it an issue, make it a real topic with real Amendments that are gonna be passed.

This is one of the reasons we are hated throughout the world. The world looks at us and say's they have no morals.

Not really. The Europeans hate us because we have too many morals, the Arabs hate us because of our support for the Jews. The Arabs saying we lace morals is more of a strawman arguement.

Traditional marriage has 3 elements:

1) It is permanent (no divorce)

2) It is sexually exclusive (adultery is a felony)

3) It is between a man and at least one woman.

Which of these does your amendment restore?

None. I am not one to endorse political suicide.

This is great that Massachusett's gay judges did this. Let all the fudgepackers move there and be clients of the Dickem and Dunkem (Ted Kennedy) law firm.

" This is one of the reasons we are hated throughout the world. The world looks at us and say's they have no morals."

No, not even close. Those that hate us do so because we stand morally and successfully against the tyranny that’s ingrained in their culture. Whether gay marriage is right or wrong, marriage is not threatened by this.

I agree. Now is the time to make this a political. Now is the time to stop it dead in it's tracks. God did not create Adam and Steve... or Andria and Eve... Constitutional ammendment or bust... Sign me up.

As long as restoring traditional marriage is political suicide (I agree it is), gay marriage is inevitable.

You cannot have serial adulterous relationships and call it marriage only for straights.

Not interested. This is not appropriate for a Constitutional Amendment.

No, I am not in favor of gay "marriage".

Marriage has not been taken seriously since the 1960s; consider how society accepts no-fault divorce or single moms, for instance. Against this backdrop, it's hard to get exercised over gay marriage and I suspect that conservatives who do will just get themselves written off as flogging a dead horse.

Besides, what harm does it do? I can see the Christian Viciousness movement flogging this particular dead horse, but in a world where most people don't know the names of the people two houses down the block or on the next floor of the apartment building, what those people are doing doesn't set a very important example.

We ought to be incensed about the courts getting above themselves, but that's another issue.

It is sad the state of marriage in this country, but I don't think gay marriage is inevitable. A Constutitional Amendment to define marriage as a man and a woman is a step in the right direction. Certainly not a fixed to all its problems. I think the nation is starting to go through a more conservative cycle and people will start to respect traditional values more.

I see that as the same issue. I think this is not just a Christian homophobe position, but a mainstream American position supported in excess of 70% of the people. If the GOP can capitalize on this, they can gain in the Senate, stop the filibustering and fill the court with decent non-activist Judges.

Yup, we might have just gained a couple of senate seats in play, starting with Tom Daschle and Russ Feingold. Blanche Lincoln will vote for a marriage amendment, otherwise she'd be toast too.

I would be deeply saddened to see that.

This is one of the reasons we are hated throughout the world. The world looks at us and say's they have no morals.

They hate us for FORCING them to obey and accept the liberal political correctness laws. They make us appear arrogant, dictorial, immoral.
Other nations do not want political correctness either. No one likes being told how they must think and act according to a few satanists. It goes against their conscience. It creates hate. Hate creates violence. Violence creates war.
Political correctness has done more to destroy the world than any other facist act in world history. Minds cannot be controled by force. We're seeing just the tip on the ice burg of what is yet to come. In the eyes of the world, in order to destroy the PC dictators, America must be destroyed. That's what the nations mean by "oppression." They don't like the facist thought police making their decisions for them.

I see a Republican landslide comming in the NE. The press can spin this issue, but the polls say 89% of Americans are against gay marrage.
All those who are living in Mass. have to live in a gay hell forever. They're not going to be pleased by what they're about to witness. The demons will be urinating in the streets, and mothers will have to guard their children. It won't happen within a week, but by next year it will be the sodomote pit of vileness.
Things are about to change. The spirt of morality usually not found in Mass. will grow like never before.
The Lord works in strange ways. He's setting them up for their fall.

No, no, and no again. Enforce the Amendments already on the document and you won't have this problem. But don't worry, I'm in the minority. 'Conservatives' will rally to your cry and the absolute genius of the Constitution, that does cover practically everything, will take another hit
