Vanity: Did anyone hear Hannity & Mark Summers going at it?

Did anyone else catch the discussion between Hannity and Mark Summers today?
Im not sure if they have some sort of history, but Hannity sure jumped quickly. F. Lee Levin was on too and brought up Summers ordeal with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which I thought was in poor taste.
Im still not sure why Summers even called.

I'm interested in other Freepers take on the conversation.

It was stupid, really, and a waste of air time for Hannity (except in his own mind)

I think there are a lot more important issues to be discussed, instead of some washed up food trivia show host... What was going on in Hannity's head?

I heard was Hannity was upset at some Long Island professor who insulted one of Hannity's listeners.
Why would Sean attack the candy guy of Food TV?

Plus, it spawned one of the most incoherent threads I've seen in a long time.

The guy had wanted to start trouble when he called in. He basically said Sean was becoming a Rush clone.

Summers called in and initially didn't identify himself (I recognized his voice). He started by saying that Sean was copying Rush. I think it really hit a nerve. I dont think Summers was trying to be belligerent. In the end, Sean called him a liberal several times. The guy never said anything political, so I dont know why Sean played the L card. Could it be that if your disagree with Sean, you are a liberal by definition.

"Chicken Hawk" Hannity is a loud mouthed, amusing little twit. Though I agree with many of his positions, when he gets on roll, his nasaly challenged Deep-Island voice can be quite tedious.
Last week he went on about sore losers in an election who were dragging up sexual harassement allegations from the seventies about the winner. I thought he was talking about Wild Bill Clinton ...

I thought it was funny.
...Course, it's not like a liberal spouting talking points and contradicting himself every two sentences is necessarily anything new. If I were Hannity, I would have probably answered his question about bagging on morons like Moore by making the point that "democrats" are not really the problem, but loopy liberals are the problem. Hannity should have simply said: "Hey, 'Blues Clues' there are lots of good Dems (Breaux and Miller) and lots of worthless Repubs (Snow, et al) and I talk about them all the time on the show." The Levin cut in was pretty funny as well
Thats what I thought.

He started by saying that Sean was "copying" Rush. Was this the "worst" Summers said?
I like to watch "Unwrapped" if it's on when I'm home.

I still maintain, Sean doesn't have an original thought in his head. Today, he reinforced that position.
I was embarassed for him... What a shrill, petty response.
I find myself punching the button over to Laura Ingrham more and more daily, although the reception isn't that great...

Yes of course the Chicken Hawks: Woodrow Wilson lead the U.S. into WWI. FDR lead the U.S. into WWII and the perfect Chicken Hawk, W.J.Clinton lead us into Haiti, Kosovo, Somalia and Serbia.
It seems the Chicken Hawks roost in the Democrat party and lead our nation into wars on a regular basis.

No, Hannity hit rock bottom repeatedly asking an "apology" from a dime store cockroach while Marty sat there on another line.
Useless voyeuristic confrontation....

I think we agree. I felt sorry for Marty and that was reflective in his voice...
Marty rocks!
If anybody owes anybody an apology, it is Sean for putting Marty in such a position.

I thought Sean was petty there too, unless there's a history unknown to me that somehow justified it. The guy did start out like a snot saying Sean was emulating Rush, but before he even started Sean had him inexplicably define who he was and what he does for over one or two minutes - and like the caller I thought that was not relevant - so by the time he finally got to say something he may have already been rattled, perhaps justifying a "snotty attitude". Then later Sean used his profession to belittle him - "tomato historian", etc. Having just left work I was hoping to hear something newsy.

I think that the term "Chicken Hawk" refers to the notion that Hannity supports the war but never served himself, or more generally, that he is gung ho for a war that he, himself is unwilling to fight.
I do not think that either of these contentions actually fit Hannity. I think that lots of folks who are too old to enlist perhaps would if given the chance. Hannity has done what lots of folks in his position do, and that is find other ways to support the war and our troops.
...At least that is what I hope.
More offensive to me is the idea that one can support the troops and not support the mission. Those two ideas are one in the same.
