Which is how, after Cain was expelled from Adam's family for killing Able, he went to live in different city. if "Adam" was the first man (not the first "Man God selected"), then there couldn't have been a different city already developed.

Speaking of which - Can you image the trouble he got into when Cain came back home and admitted to killing 1/4 the human race? 8<)

Cain is an interesting subject. Note he is not listed in Genesis 5:1 THE BOOK OF THE GENERATIONS OF ADAM.

Cain has his own generations with sound alike (but spelled differently) names.

Also Cain's punishment was Genesis 4:11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive they brother's blood from thy hand;

12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth."

Yet Cain received protection, v.15 "Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold." And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

Actually 'JEWISH' anything did not state UNTIL there was a Tribe of Judah!

10. The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground.

15. But the LORD said to him, "Not so; if anyone kills Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times over." Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him.
16. So Cain went out from the LORD's presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
17. Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was then building a city, and he named it after his son Enoch.
