PARIS (Reuters) - About 10 people died Saturday when a stairway leading to the Queen Mary II collapsed at a shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, western France, French police said.

The Queen Mary II is under construction at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard, owned by French heavy engineering firm Alstom . It will be the largest and most expensive liner ever built.
