These ^*$#%&&! better hope that the Turkish police don't catch them, as the Turkish view of "right" would give an aclu lawyer a danm near terminal case of the vapors.Well, that sounds like a win-win situation.

I'm sure they've already blamed it on Israel: "After all, if Israel didn't insist on existing, world peace wouldn't be so threatened." from Ha'aretz:
17:13 Arab League Sec.-General Amr Moussa condemns Istanbul bombings, holds Israel responsible for inciting terrorism

My prayers for the reposed. May God receive them with joy. May the injured and traumatized be healed.
May Turkey squash the scum who did this like bugs.
The master of the website Kavkaz.org, a chechen site, lives in Istanbul and is a radical islamic terrorist type.

Is this a Sunni or a Shi'ite group?
If it's Iranian-backed and Khomeinist, it might be the bastard stepchild of that Turkish Hezbollah that was wiped out a few years back by Turkish security forces. If it's Sunni, it could easily be part of bin Laden's International Islamic Front, thereby explaining the apparent al-Qaeda claim. The fact that it's Iranian-backed doesn't change this, most of al-Qaeda's top brass is reportedly hanging out at IRGC military bases.

This latest bombing is no surprise
The few remaining Christians living in Constantinople and the Patriarchate (Orthodox) have been bombed and murdered for years (apart from the genocide in the early 20th century) now.
And for anyone to think that this supposed terrorist group -Islamic Great Eastern Raiders/Front - is operating outside the turkish state apparatus is naive.

Apologize to the person you insulted, not to me.

May Turkey squash the scum who did this like bugsShouldn't be too difficult. They have had lots of practice doing it to innocents for years.
Yeah...Turkey has a habit of "squashing" innocent men women and children especially if they are Christians.

The "Eid" this year falls on the Nov. 23/24. Thanksgiving falls on the 27th. If there is a hit on U.S. soil, I think it will be right before Thanksgiving.

Here's
Salih Mirzabeyoglu's Website He's the inspiration, spiritual leader, and chief theorist of Islamic Revolution of the IBDA-C organization (the Islamic Great Eastern Raiders Front)
He has basically the same take on Turkey you do, eleni.
To: superflu
See my post in the other thread, it may have been al-Qaeda, but not the IBDA-C. One possibility is that some Ansar al-Islam thugs headed north instead of going back into Iraq from Iran and that this is their handiwork.
Another possibility might be Hezbollah - they've struck Jewish targets outside of Israel before on the orders of their backers in the Iranian government. With suicide bombings lessening in Israel as a result of the crackdown, I expect that could be an effort by Iran to up the tempo.

You are so naive it's pathetic
Either that or you have spent too much time dreaming of the hamam and the harem.
Talk about Turkey's Hezbollah and their supposed terrorist tactics is another attempt to whitewash the crimes of the Turkish state and to discredit the Kurdish struggle for political rights. The Turkish government may choose to beguile its Turkish population and abuse its Kurdish and few remaining Christian subjects but it will not be able to go on with this policy for too long. The new residents of Constantinople should look no further than Moscow: the totalitarian regimes don't last forever.

Welcome to the club of desecration which is Muslim Turkey
Over the last several years, the Greek Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarchate has been bombed four times, at least 2 Greek Orthodox cemetaries have been desecrated, and several individuals of Greek descent have been murdered. Human rights abuses against the Greek community continue...
And that doesn't even touch the surface of all atrocities.
