THE British Red Cross was blasted yesterday for banning JESUS from its shops over Christmas.
Bosses fearful of offending minority faiths also outlawed nativity scenes and advent calendars showing Mary and Joseph and the three wise men. Christmas cards will simply say: Seasons Greetings.
Furious Tory Nigel Evans called on fellow MPs to demand a U-turn. He stormed: This is simply beyond the pale.
How can the Red Cross, sporting a Christian symbol as both its name and logo, possibly exclude Jesus from the holiday celebrating his birth?
Red Cross chief executive Sir Nicholas Young insisted it was vital the organisation was seen as neutral. The ban at its 392 shops was enforced last Christmas.
Sir Nicholas said: Neutrality is as important on the high street as it is in Iraq.
But Mr Evans raged: Its political correctness gone mad. Unless he reverses his decision, instead of banning the three wise men, I would suggest the Red Cross employs one new one at the top.

How about wearing them down in a Christian spirit? We could start a massive campaign to send Christian Christmas cards, Bible tracts and emails with scripture to the Brit Red Cross leadership and board. Any takers?

They want to use the Cross but ignore it's tradition and history Individuals devoted to the saving of lives and property arose during the Crusades. Bands of knights going to the Holy Land ito search for the Holy Grail were organized into orders. One such order was entitled the Order of Saint John of Hospitaliers. This band of knights dedicated themselves to the treatment of serious wounds caused on the battleground. [sic] The symbol for the Order of Saint John was a red Cross ... to much positive philosophy, the enemies have infiltrated our most important organizations and hope to break religion once and for all before enacting communism. Gramsci would be proud:
Gramsci's intellectual work in prison did not emerge in the light of day until several years after World War II, when the PC began publishing scattered sections of the Notebooks and some of the approximately 500 letters he wrote from prison. By the 1950s, and then with increasing frequency and intensity, his prison writings attracted interest and critical commentary in a host of countries, not only in the West but in the so-called third world as well. Some of his terminology became household words on the left, the most important of which, and the most complex, is the term "hegemony" as he used it in his writings and applied to the twin task of understanding the reasons underlying both the successes and the failures of socialism on a global scale, and of elaborating a feasible program for the realization of a socialist vision within the really existing conditions that prevailed in the world. Among these conditions were the rise and triumph of fascism and the disarray on the left that had ensued as a result of that triumph. Also extremely pertinent, both theoretically and practically, were such terms and phrases as "organic intellectual," "national'popular," and "historical bloc" which, even if not coined by Gramsci, acquired such radically new and original implications in his writing as to constitute effectively new formulations in the realm of political philosophy.

Knights Hospitalers (Hospitaliers) The Hospitaliers, or Knights Hospitaliers, refers to the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem, and their full title is The Sovereign Military Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes, and of Malta. The order was founded in the early 12th century, and their original purpose was to protect a hospital built in Jerusalem by Gerard before the first Crusade. The brothers were sworn to assist the defense of Jerusalem, as well as to poverty, chastity and obedience.
Want More?? The first leader of the order, Gerard, was called rector, and later leaders were called grand masters. Due to the protective duties in an extremely troubled time, the Hospitalers was a military order, and the knights were armed and of noble birth. In the Holy Land, they formed a community under the Rule of St. Augustine that endured until the failure of the Crusades.

Its always OK to offend Christians
in the name of not offending everybody else
yet how many non Christians do they count on for funding..
good luck
and BTW you might want to get rid of the Red "Cross" in your logo
Maybe Christians shoud sue for that logo..as it is being used to fool
people into thinking that the Red Cross has anything to do with Christianity
Maybe they should become the Red Hammer and Sickle or Red Crescent or Red Star

Before everyone starts foaming at the mouth here and calling for boycotts and freeps, let me point out that this article is about the
BRITISH Red Cross.
What is the position of the American Red Cross on this?
