THE British Red Cross was blasted yesterday for banning JESUS from its shops over Christmas.
Bosses fearful of offending minority faiths also outlawed nativity scenes and advent calendars showing Mary and Joseph and the three wise men. Christmas cards will simply say: Seasons Greetings.
Furious Tory Nigel Evans called on fellow MPs to demand a U-turn. He stormed: This is simply beyond the pale.
How can the Red Cross, sporting a Christian symbol as both its name and logo, possibly exclude Jesus from the holiday celebrating his birth?
Red Cross chief executive Sir Nicholas Young insisted it was vital the organisation was seen as neutral. The ban at its 392 shops was enforced last Christmas.
Sir Nicholas said: Neutrality is as important on the high street as it is in Iraq.
But Mr Evans raged: Its political correctness gone mad. Unless he reverses his decision, instead of banning the three wise men, I would suggest the Red Cross employs one new one at the top.

Sad, so very very sad. An organization built on Christian values now turning their back on God. Well God has taken care of their likes before, I trust he will do so again.

When are they changing the cross to a hammer & sickle?

I've never had any use for the Red Cross since I was a soldier-I always found the Salvation Army, and Cardinal Spellman's Servicemen's Club to be more willing to support GI's. We had to pay for everything we got from the Red Cross.

Since they have leaned to the left, let them collect from the left.
Very well said.

Red Cross bans crosses?
Afraid to offend a minority religion by offending the majority religion?
Does it take three red cross workers to equal a pair of IQ?

I am not a Christian, but I agree this is necessary. A boycott is in order. For too long, Americans have had their rights and traditions trampled on by politically correct apparatchiks, and would be commisars.

"THE British Red Cross was blasted yesterday for banning JESUS from its shops over Christmas." Has the British Red Thingy told the Muslims that refernces to Mohammed should be left out of the Red Crescent Offices? I didn't think so.
