THE British Red Cross was blasted yesterday for banning JESUS from its shops over Christmas.
Bosses fearful of offending minority faiths also outlawed nativity scenes and advent calendars showing Mary and Joseph and the three wise men. Christmas cards will simply say: Seasons Greetings.
Furious Tory Nigel Evans called on fellow MPs to demand a U-turn. He stormed: This is simply beyond the pale.
How can the Red Cross, sporting a Christian symbol as both its name and logo, possibly exclude Jesus from the holiday celebrating his birth?
Red Cross chief executive Sir Nicholas Young insisted it was vital the organisation was seen as neutral. The ban at its 392 shops was enforced last Christmas.
Sir Nicholas said: Neutrality is as important on the high street as it is in Iraq.
But Mr Evans raged: Its political correctness gone mad. Unless he reverses his decision, instead of banning the three wise men, I would suggest the Red Cross employs one new one at the top.

Wouldn't that just make them the British Red, then since the Cross is also a symbol of Christianity, just like Christ?

Time to change the symbol to a red crescent, or better yet, a red chicken!

Yes, the Red Cross should hide the identity of the religion that has aided so many the world over. Just how many Muslim soup kitchens do you see. How many Muslim charities do you see giving out coats and hats to Christians and Jews? Where are the Muslim foundations that hand out scholarships to needy Christian and Jewish children? Where are they?

How profoundly stupid.
Have news for them too. They're Christmas cards, as in Christ. Get over it. If the fear is offending someone with a Christmas card - perhaps they shouldn't be sending it?!

If the fear is offending someone with a Christmas card - perhaps they shouldn't be sending it?!Better yet, if it's so offensive, go to a Muslim Organization for your handout.

Is this the same Red Cross that has refused from day one to recognize Israel's
Magen David 'Adom (while recognizing the islamic Red Crescent and the Iranian Red Lion and Sun), and whose international founder was present at the First Zionist Congress in 1897 to see if the Jews were "plotting" something?
They'll probably change their symbol to a red dot or something before they'll recognize the Red Magen David.

I'm having a hard time understanding what exactly he means by this. Seems to met that neutrality on the streets of Iraq can get you killed, in which case proves the opposite of what he is attempting to prove.
