A new "hate-crimes" proposal supported by Democrats and key Senate Republicans, including Sen. Orrin G. Hatch of Utah, would vastly expand the federal government's power to prosecute such crimes committed anywhere in the country.

What on earth is Hatch thinking? The Democrats are engaging in an unprecedented series of filibusters against judicial nominations, and he's pushing this?

All this "hate crime" garbage sounds like something from 1984.

It stands to reason that two of the biggest morons in the Senate would co-sponsor legislation to crack down on "bad ideas."

After all, to these idiots anyone with half a brain is a palpable threat.

Can you blame them considering all the help they're getting from the Orin Hatches and John McCains in the Senate?
