[history]
A U.S. Senate hearing today considers the role of state and local police in immigration enforcement. Senators should keep foremost in mind the consequences of the government's current practice.
Perhaps the worst practice within the U.S. government is its demoralizing message to state and local law enforcement. This horrendous de facto policy undermines respect for the rule of law and has put hundreds of thousands of criminal and illegal aliens on American streets.

Yesterday The Washington Times ("Report urges Virginia to boost immigrant aid," Nov. 12, '03, p. B2), that a General Assembly study (Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission report) concluded that Virginia should do more for Asian and Hispanic immigrants.
Apparently there are concerns that it is more difficult for illegal aliens to get driver's licenses and notes that need more access to services and information in native languages.
IMHO, if they are too lazy to learn English, tough! What a sense of entitlement to think they move to another country and there the people should learn their language.

It should be obvious that, for whatever reason, politicians are courting the illegal vote.
Personal experience here is that a good immigrant learns the host language. My in-laws immigrated from Italy in the early 1900s, and they insisted that the kids learn English. My son's in-laws immigrated from Mexico in the '30s, and they did likewise. His wife, whose maiden name was Garcia, knows little or no Spanish. I was stationed in Germany twice...my wife and I both took pains to learn enough of the language to survive on the economy.
We need to get back to that idea, or we may cease to exist. Diversity will divide us and conquer us.

I have been trying to find what went on in Washington yesterday regarding the bi-national meeting. I haven't been able to find anything in the U.S. media yet. However, the Mexican newpapers are reporting it in Spanish.
The Mexicans accused Powell and the US. of treating Mexico like it is the U.S. "backyard". Whine, whine.
Also, in Spanish, Bush meets with Derbez at the White House yesterday and arrange a meeting for Fox and Bush in January.
"It should be obvious that, for whatever reason, politicians are courting the illegal vote." AGREE, AGREE
Also, we will be sending the Peace Corp to Mexico. For whatever reason, I don't understand. I guess it is just a way to funnel money to Mexico.

"Diversity will divide us and conquer us."
That is THE idea! When we are a nation of 180 DIFFERENT nationalities, then one vote in the United Nations to cancel out OUR Constitution and rule North America from the UN Headquarters will go so smoothly even the press won't bother reporting it.

...state troopers stopped a van with 15 people in it, all suspected illegal aliens...ICE officers...took them into custody, only to release them later.
...so police released the illegal aliens with a friendly reminder to wear their seat belts.
...immigration officials tell the police officer they are not coming to take the illegal alien into custody, so let him go.
"Let them go" led to the rape of two nuns and the murder of another last year in Oregon. Maximiliano Silerio Esparza, a Salvadoran illegal alien, has been indicted in these crimes...(and) had previously been caught and released by the Border Patrol...
Suspected serial rapist Reynaldo Elias Rapalo is a Honduran illegal criminal alien. Miami police recently arrested him in connection with seven rapes...Rapalo (was arrested) in October 2002 for "lewd and lascivious" molestation...on an expired visa.
Goodness gracious!
This country is going to PC itself to death one of these days.

"This country is going to PC itself do death one of these days."
Alot of Americans have died at the hands of illegal aliens. Our news media and our government doesn't care. However, let a Mexican stump their toe in the dessert and you will hear about it from the government and media.
