By the time the major media spin this 30-hour marathon, it will make the Republicans look like a bunch of whiners.
The Dems will come out of this smelling like roses by continuing to rant that the important work of the Senate-- jobs/prescription drugs/appropriations/etc -- is not being done because the Republicans are doing this silly talkathon circus.
This 30 hour marathon was not one of Frist's better ideas.

spamming it in here too I see?
The media make anything we do look bad. Sometimes we have to fight back regardless of what they will do.

What in the Bloody Hell is this Republican circle jerk supposed to accomplish. The filibuster should be the Democrats trying to stop a floor vote on the judges. The limp spine Republican leadership has cooked up this weak kneed PR event to avoid actually taking serious action. They are filibustering their own initiative. It's the Twilight Zone. And to add insult to injury we got the go* *amn freeper nation cheerleading. This is Bill Frist and the girls kissing Donkey butt.

This filibuster thing is better than nothing but barely
A better option would be bring a vote to change the rules. When the dems inevitable filibuster that, declare that rules cannot be filibustered, and hold the vote anyway. Then change the rules so that the filibuster rule can no longer cover judges. If the dems want to take that to court then let them.

I disagree:
I think this 30-hour thing IS one of Frist's better.
Unfortunately.

I agree. Finally someone is taking a stand. I believe the public is intelligent enough to read between the lines and discern that the Dems have been trying to engineer an undemocratic judicial majority.
