re post no. 106: "Toward the end of this article, there is mention of seven foreign terrorists killed near Fallujah that were all wearing similar dark uniforms and had shaved their bodies in preparation for collecting their 72 virgins. This is the first instance I have seen where enemy dead were found with shaved bodies."
http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/news/world/7234204.htm ===
SNIPPET from the article you linked to: "The dead gunmen, they later discovered, were foreign jihadis, or "holy warriors," Delagarza said. The dead men all wore the same type of dark uniform and had shaved their bodies in anticipation of entering paradise.
Just last week, a group of about 30 gunmen ambushed an 82nd Airborne Division patrol near the same cloverleaf. Alpha Company again was called in for support. A few of the gunmen were killed, but most got away. Alpha Company had no casualties."

"The libs refuse to see that fighting them OVER THERE is better than fighting them OVER HERE."
It's because they're like children - they want what they want in spite of any opposing reality that may be going on in the world around them. Someone else - Mommy and Daddy - will take care of anything they don't want to deal with.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed similar hints from other officials,Funny thing isn't it that unnamed sources from the administration's side (note I did not say conservative side) are acceptable if they approve of what the administration tells us. However if it's unnamed sources from the liberal side they must always be wrong and be immediately discounted with namecalling
Why is that?

Wakeup Wardaddy, I need your help here.
What U.S. officials?
Is conclude the same as confirm in this instance (not directing this at you Cindy)?
This is not news, its what has been said for some time.
In the beginning of the article it states The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed similar hints from other officials, the most recent by Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, the commander of U.S forces in Iraq.
Are the U.S. Officials confirming the hints or are they confirming that Al Queda is in Iraq?

Cindy's post 121 is the best I've seen so far.
I have waited all day for news to augment the thread title.
If this is true, it's bully pulpit time....the only way to get the news out beyond Fox and talk radio.

Its still not a confirmation wardaddy, the article states that it was concluded. This is the same thing we have been hearing lately with the incoming Syrians and etc., even jihadist from Europe. The only thing that I see that might indicate Al Queda in Iraq is the article in post #106 where a couple of the dead enemy had shaven bodies. And then I don't know if the shaven body thingy is just an Al Queda thing or an Islamic jihadist thing.

I want to see the AQ links mentioned in this story picked up outside Fox or MSNBC....and I hope I do. The mainstream media has ignored almost all hints at AQ and Iraq up to this point from the getgo. The headline in this story indicates this may be different. We shall see. 70-some posts in and I'm wondering the same thing.

He said some 2,200 caches of weapons and ordnance have been uncovered in the Baghdad area alone, and nearly all of them are now under guard or have been destroyed. Scary stuff, but more evidence of the great work our folks are doing.
