GTA is a pointlessly violent game, with absolutely no redeeming value. Random shooting, soliciting prostitutes, vandalism, and theft are not values that ought to be inculcated, and I fail to see the entertainment in experiencing them vicariously through a game.

Now, if you want a good video game, try Civilization III. My son plays it with me, and I use it as an opportunity to teach him about history. Plus, conquering the world is FUN!

The key word here is "decided". A million people play "Grand Theft Auto III" and then decide NOT to randomly shoot at tractor-trailer rigs on the street. Two people play "Grand Theft Auto III" and then decide TO randomly shoot at tractor-trailer rigs on the street. It was a personal decision by the two boys and they should be held solely responsible for the shootings. This lawsuit should be thrown out.

It would pay to keep an eye on this guy. He's definately acting behind the scenes to try and kick over a domino or two. I find his attemps to harness others' grief and sorrow to promote his own personal agenda to be sickening.
