[history]
The lawsuit, reiterating charges that first surfaced in a criminal case against three Burger King employees, alleges that restaurant workers may have been tampering with food for eight months before the contamination came to light.

martin; That is some gorgeous machine you ride. Did you build it yourself ?

If any of you read "Fast Food Nation", you wouldn't go anywhere NEAR these disgusting places. I sure haven't since.

Great Post Here is a true story. I used to drive long distance rigs. In Montana we pulled into a small truck stop. My partner ordered a hamburger and I ordered a hot dog. The waitress was something else. About 220 with a sleeveless t-shirt on. She walked over to an old freezer, got out a hamburger pattie, put it under her arm, and walked over to the grill. My partner said, what are you doing with that pattie. She said "thawing it out". I said "cancel my hotdog"LOL!

Interestingly both the best and worst hamburger I ever had were both at Burger King.
The worst was at one in Atlanta. I couldn't finish it. Probably nothing really wrong with it except stale bread and dry meat.
The best was near the airport in Mobile, Alabama. I had about two hours to kill and stopped at the Burger King and ordered one of the better burgers. It was flat out fine. The fact I was hungry probably helped.
I don't think I have eaten at a hamburger place in over 5 years. I doubt I ever will again unless forced to.

Anyone who's worked in a restaurant knows there's a lot of shenanigans going on in the kitchen.

Thanks, but no -- I didn't build it myself.
It pretty much came that way stock. This Poor Urban Biker just added a custom seat and a few other gimgams.

This reminds me of a study that was done on bulk unpackaged candies, in 89% of the samples urine was found on the candy, apparently folks with unwashed hands (lots of kids I would guess) who would reach in for a "free" sample would deposit the urine on the remaining candy. Urine never dries, it just crystalizes (fun fact of the day).

I drive by that BK every day. After that story first broke (sheriff's deputy got a mouthfull of oven cleaner), the perps arrested, and the management & staff now paranoid, I figure it's probably the safest BK to eat at in the country!

Scottsville...that's the one on the eastbound side, just before you get to 390, right? I'm trying to remember the last time I'm likely to have stopped there ;)

That's the one!

Phew - I'm probably okay, then. The only time I can specifically recall stopping there, all I got was coffee at the Dunkin' Donuts. ;)

Of equal concern is whether to test the coke for urine or test the urine for coke!

One Burger King employee was convicted in 2001 of food tampering by spraying degreaser on a Whopper pattie. Another employee pleaded guilty to food tampering and a third was acquitted.
