(I Posted just the transcript.)
Walters and other self ordained 'powerful elite' are so surrounded by 'yes men', publicists and fans that they can convince themselves of just about anything.

Thanks for the transcript. I heard Laura talking about her appearance on the show, and this Joy Behar sounds like a real kook. How defensive can one woman be? And the grammar. Jones has quite a way with words. Wow.

My 94 year old mother called The View a bunch of Whomping morons. Betty was never one to sugar anything.

Campos: "Can I come to her defense?"
Walters: "She does okay."
Campos: "Well, I live in the Heartland that she's talking about and I think she's actually right. I have said this the last time I came on here. People in the middle of the country do not think, act or vote like people on the coasts, especially New York and specifically L.A. and San Francisco. And this is what she's talking about, this flyover zone."

priceless.

Rachel Campos had better be careful. She's going to get herself blacklisted.

"I'm from the Heartland, too, and I agree with you that, you know, that you may hear -- but there are people in the Heartland who don't get upset if someone doesn't speak their point of view." Walters is full of PC cr*p, cant understand that Laura is not at all disputing the *right* of idiots on the left in the hollywood and media elites to say wat they will ... LAURA IS MERELY SAYING THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES.
And what is the response? "Hey, he must have clothes on, since he's not freezing to death." "Who needs clothes?" "Well you get naked when you undress at night, I guess YOU have no clothes too, nekkid girl. " "Why are questioning his dress? Why are you so meanspirited?" "Dont you think the emperor is patriotic???!?"

I just figured out that Rachel Campos was the hot brunette from one of the first MTV "Real World" shows--the second or third one, if I remember right. She was the lone conservative and somewhat moral voice in the house. That was when they cared about sticking one token conservative in the house for the rest to laugh at, I doubt they do even that anymore.
I'm surprised they even let her speak on "The View."

They sure are upset about not being liked. But they need to experience more......fear...of not being liked. Boycot is a word I have grown to really love.
To: fight_truth_decay
Laura should have asked:
"How many of the 4 of you (regular panelists) are not liberal Democrats? Who represents conservatives on this show?"
To: alnick
Actually, Rachel Campos is one of the three finalists under consideration to be permanent host. I'd LOOOOVE to see her get the slot, but I can't imagine Star Jones and Company would tolerate her on a daily basis.

Behar: "Laura, why can't you just say that she's an idiot? Why do you have to make these generalizations about liberals?" That's the liberal's method, insult rather than challenge the substance of the statements. And of course, middle America (flyover country) shouldn't be informed as to just how violently antiAmerican Hollywood's libs can be (Hollywood being a buzzword to signify the entertainment industry in general; it matters not what coast these elites live on; they work in a pretend realm of leisure and use their celebrity status as entertainers to lecture America on politics).
