I thought that many lawsuits for auto accidents was odd as well. There are people who have a scam where they cause accidents in order to sue.....3 such occurences in an entire lifetime stretch the limits of reason.

> Think of the book and movie deals. Felos is partially responsible for continually egging Michael on in this quest for fame and power (and money).

I raised the point earlier that Michael, as sole heir, stands to make a mint with publishing rights to Terri's life. But, it didn't seem pertinent here -- too many uncertainties. He can't really count on it yet.

Felos unquestionably egged him on and almost certainly made up the "Terri didn't want to live this way" story. He probably just told Michael to stick to that story through thick and thin because it cannot be disproven. And got a skanky judge to accept the tale. ... The story may be rolling on due to its own momentum at this point. How could MS back out?

Also possible that Felos suggested using attorney billing to bleed Terri's trust fund, kick back some to Michael. Remember, a big chunk of the money disappeared and the records were sealed. George is very diligent about getting records sealed.

You have my vote for post of the day, and my prayers even more so. Thank you for your wisdom-filled insights on the charade of "death with dignity".

It sure wouldn't surprise me. I can understand the dynamics of women with low self-esteem being attracted to a Michael Schiavo, like maybe Terri was at first. But, there's something much more sinister about Jodi than that. Knowing she moved into the house with him that was bought with MS's "loss of consortium" money, having his illegitimate children, helping MS to "guard" Terri's family while Terri was dying of starvation...this woman has to be an unholy monster.

He was certainly in it for money, for years. It gets harder to explain as the money runs out.

Yes, and she has the audacity to want to be married in a Catholic church!

"What is it about Schiavo that makes Judges Greer, Demers, and Baird seem to be in his corner?"

It's a question that gnaws. Maybe the same boss, spiritually speaking? Maybe they have something on each other?

And why are so many mentioned here connected to that hospice, in addition to being assoiciated with the "right-to-die" movement? Those dots have been connected here, so the tinfoil hat isn't required to think along these lines. The emerging picture is chilling.

My $0.02 worth of thinking out loud.

You hit it-he has to HATE Terri. Someone (sweetliberty?) posted photos of Terri shortly after her injury, and one of her more recently. I turned to my husband and said "that is what HE (MS) has done to her". Only God knows how well she might be doing now if Hubby Dearest had not denied therapy. It is obvious she has gone downhill because of his "guardianship".

Terri needs some sunshine. And how I would love to wheel her out to embrace its warmth! ( oh--wouldn't we all! ) I look forward to hearing about thTo place a kitten on her tummy and then gently wrap her fragile arms around it....to put the little warm and soft life against her cheek and to wheel her out into the sunshine.

Terri has been abused and imprisoned by a man full of wrath and evil.

We need to pray for MS while we are praying for Terri. For surely he is in the grips of satan - no one could possibly deny someone with as meager an existence as Terri, the smallest of joys. Yet he has managed, year after year. He is a vampire-sucking the life out of Terri while he panders to those unable or unwilling to take a hard look at the mirror.

Yes, I think you're right. I think he is worried that MS may have attacked other women, prostitutes or something.
I'm not sure that would be MS type of MO, but then again I am not a criminal detective. Don't know much about that.

Then it is said that the senior Schiavo didn't want Michael to do this to Theresa. So Bill Schiavo was alive during part of this situation, but later was starved to death by order of Michael Schiavo. Am I getting this right?

I read an older article where Terri's dad pleaded with Bill Schiavo to try to convince Michael not to do this. I'll try to find it again.

I found it! Here's that excerpt: Scott Schiavo disputes the Schindlers' claims that Terri and Michael were having problems. But, he said, the couple had been arguing all day on Feb. 25, 1990. Terri collapsed that night. It's here in this Philadelphia Inquirer article entitled, "Many recall Schiavo as fight plays out."

Way to go! I knew I read it and yes that is the article!

You are correct. I read somewhere here (sorry-not organized with a link) that the priest who ministers to Terri does think an exorcism would be in order for MS. I need to soften my heart enough to pray for him.

This is absolutely meant to be a landmark case for the right-to-kill movement, and Felos thinks it's his personal plum. To euthanize Terri, they have to broaden the legal definitions of who can be killed more or less at will. If they succeed, all disabled people are at risk of extermination, along with senior citizens. Of course Felos is pushing it.

If it hadn't been for your response I would've given up searching. Actually, I had, and then read your post, which gave me new hope to go looking again. Sometimes all we need is someone willing to affirm that our ideas make sense. Wish I could give that to Terri right now...but maybe as long as her family knows, it helps them keep going on.

> Maybe that things have gone too far?

Excellent point! It certainly has momentum of its own.

Still, that facet doesn't seem to explain the extraordinary half-million-dollar snuff effort by a man who not so long ago worked at McDonald's and was too poor to rent an apartment.
