The NRA stands fast against lies

As a retired Delaware police captain and 2nd vice president of the National Rifle Association, I am always disheartened when I see lies printed about NRA's concern for the safety of America's police officers.

The NRA will never support anything that endangers the lives of America's law enforcement personnel. No organization supports law enforcement like the NRA.

But for some reason, the NRA is the only gun group that ever gets anything done.

No offense to the SAS or JPFO.

Oh they get things done alright.

Let's see, they favored the 68 GCA for one. Chuck Heston himself lobbied for it's passage.

That's enough for me.

I wonder what a list of the NRA's accomplishments v. defeats would look like?

BTw, have you seen this site?

I did not offer an opinion as to whether "democracy" was a good or bad thing, merely that it was. But thanks for history on what our forefathers thought.

As for NRA members being "fools?" I know several medical doctors that are NRA members. One, an accomplished orthopedic surgeon. "Fools?" Business people. Truckers. People from all walks of life. Yes, LEOs also. But no, not any "fools."

Do you consider Neil Knox a "fool?"

And how many NRA Board members that voted for 68' GCA are still alive?

The NRA-ILA was only one of two lobbying groups who were listed last night on the Wisconsin CCW fight. The Wisconsin Wildlife Federation was the other one.

Where were your groups? Isn't expecting results from your group more important than worrying about a group you're not a member of?

NRA spent over $500K fighting the various Kali gun-bans. It little matters when the courts and legislature is composed of communists. The people of Kali will have to first clean out the trash before NRA $$ or anyone else's will do any good.

An what did other RKBA groups do in Kali?

I worry about groups who lobby against my civil rights which the NRA has done on more than one occasion.

"Operation Exile" and the 68 GCA are just two examples.

Hell, Heston himself lobbied LBJ in favor if the 68 GCA.

This from NRA's most vociferous critic, Neal Knox: Other organizations may boast of their defense of the Second Amendment, but all put together are no more than an irritating gnat to Congress and state legislatures. Where NRA goes, we all go. When NRA goes in the wrong direction, we all go in the wrong direction. That's why it is sheer foolishness for members to resign their memberships. That's why you should vote in NRA Board elections.

I started a year ago and have asked various members of other gun groups just what their gun group has ever accomplished. I think I'm at fifteen people so far and I only received one answer. A gun group stopped a Georgia trigger lock law. That's the full extent of it.

The SAS has done wonders for getting women to shoot but they aren't a lobbying group. JPFO is listed as an educational group.
