Rockefeller Must Resign!
Fox News ^ | November 6, 2003 | Judith Anne

Posted on 11/06/2003 6:50:10 AM PST by Judith Anne

Okay, this is a vanity--my first and only.

That said, I want Rockefeller to resign, and I want to see Freeper opinions on this. I think the memo he claimed a staffer wrote is at LEAST a first cousin to treason, as Zell Miller said, and I am furious that the story isn't getting more traction.

This isn't just another example of business as usual in DC, this is a case of Democrats using intelligence vital to our war effort in Iraq as a tool to win an election against President Bush next year, no matter the cost in human lives!

The author of the memo should resign. Rockefeller, if he DIDN't write it, should disavow it, and SO SHOULD EVERY OTHER DEMOCRAT ON THE COMMITTEE, publicly!

We can't let the media carry the water on this one--they won't! We can't let the Senate carry the water on this one--they won't!

We the people have to insist that there is NO place for this kind of partisanship in this committee at this time--and Rockefeller must resign.

It will NOT be forgotten! I will still be here! This is near treason on the Senate Intelligence Committee and it must be highlighted. If we wait for somebody else to carry the water, it won't get carried.

Call for his resignation. Use the link above and email him.

He deserves it.

I think WE SHOULD MAKE AN ISSUE OF IT! Enough emails, phone calls, etc. would get someone's attention. Even if it just tied up the switchboards!

I want him gone as well, this is to important to just forgive/forget in my opinion.

But one thing for sure is now President Bush has proof he can show the American public as to why he is keeping such a tight reign on information.

I just emailed Rockefeller and asked for the immediate resignation of any and all who were connected with the memo in any way! I ask all of you to do the same.

Exactly right! Why should President Bush tell the Intel Committee anything? That would be violating his own oath.

Way to go, maeng! We can do this. We can. It's up to us and we can do this.

I called my two senators and congressman yesterday and they said they have been getting bombarded with calls on this latest outrage. Staffers told me that the voters are absolutely seething and frothing mad over this. It was hard to get in the Capitol switchboard because the phone traffic was heavy. I also called RNC HQ and they have been deluged with calls as well. Many pubbies are hot under the collar and calling for strong action against the RATS. I laid into Roberts and wimpy Pubbie responses to important issues. This will not go away easy for the RATS. Put the pressure on while there is blood in the water and create a feeding frenzy. We have the momentum and lets use it. Besides wait until Rush Limbaugh goes back on the air. He will make an issue out of this like no one else can. I will do more myself.

Rush will be back the middle of November, I heard. Meanwhile, SOMEONE is taking his place. It would be nice if someone would email his replacement...

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am going to wear a button that says "INVESTIGATE MEMO-GATE" this weekend. That should raise some questions with public.

Maeng,

Stick it to them in plain language and tell them how you feel. Also tell them you are a contributor and that will get their attention. The RNC staffer told me she had never ever seen people as livid over anything even Clintoon's impeachment pales compared to this. We have to be like a bunch of hungry sharks or piranha and not let go.

Since when is one of the staffers allowed to right a strategy like that for the Democreeps to follow. That is a bold-faced lie right there!! He might have had his staffer type it for him but it has his fingerprints all over it.

From NewsMax:

"Now, a prominent senator who is not on the intelligence committee expressed outrage when informed by NewsMax of the existence of the apparent Democrat strategy to use the committee’s national security and classified information for partisan purposes, as men and women are facing the enemy on the front lines in the war on terror.

"The senator, speaking not for attribution at this stage of the unfolding uproar, has a lot of clout on the Hill and is respected on matters related to war.

"His comment comes as Hannity, on today’s radio show, said he had been informed by a highly reliable source that despite his disclaimers to the contrary, committee co-chairman Jay Rockefeller, D-W.V., approved the drafting of the memo."

See? That wasn't so hard, was it? Now we all know what the accusations are.

In an honorable society Rockefeller would follow the family tradition of death by falling on his mistress.

LOL!
