Okay, this is a vanity--my first and only.

That said, I want Rockefeller to resign, and I want to see Freeper opinions on this. I think the memo he claimed a staffer wrote is at LEAST a first cousin to treason, as Zell Miller said, and I am furious that the story isn't getting more traction.

This isn't just another example of business as usual in DC, this is a case of Democrats using intelligence vital to our war effort in Iraq as a tool to win an election against President Bush next year, no matter the cost in human lives!

The author of the memo should resign. Rockefeller, if he DIDN't write it, should disavow it, and SO SHOULD EVERY OTHER DEMOCRAT ON THE COMMITTEE, publicly!

We can't let the media carry the water on this one--they won't! We can't let the Senate carry the water on this one--they won't!

We the people have to insist that there is NO place for this kind of partisanship in this committee at this time--and Rockefeller must resign.

I also find it interesting that the revelation of Iraq wanting to negotiate before the start of the war was released yesterday...

Wasn't that already basically known? Just like the Taliban, Bush laid out some non-negotiable conditions. Either they ponied up or faced the consequences.

My memory is vague on this, but I think that I recall some last-minute attempts by SH's regime to negotiate non-negotiable conditions, which were rightfully ignored.

I've read and heard elsewhere that there were literally hundreds of ME broker wannabes that were trying to get their bogus offers of peace considered, in order to basically waste time and stall the war.

Nothing says you have to write only Dems, I wrote all of the Republicans (mentioned that they all reminded me of  Spineless Trent Lott), I left a little hope in there "I hope it was Trent Lott that sent the Memo to Sean, it would be the first time in his life he did something requiring a little sand", everyone just needs to do their part.

 

If the Pubbies catch enough heat,  it stays in the News and the light keeps shining on the Dems...

Thanks, Lauratealeaf. iirc, lots of military in your family, mine too. I'm so irate about this memo--! Evidently, the security of the country and the safety of our military doesn't matter to this piece of bleep, just the frikken 2004 election of some bleeping dem!

So far, none of my family members have been deployed to Iraq but of course, that can change. We do have lots of friends in Iraq and their bravery is awesome. I hate to say it but the Republicans on the Intelligence Committee have not impressed me in terms of guts. They still just want to get along with their "colleagues". That's why they need to be contacted consistently.
