And I didn't mean to diminish what she went through. I realize it came across that way. Fact is, lots of people go through all kinds of bad stuff every single day. I can't be moved by all of it. What are we supposed to do? I am not a total space alien. Some things move me very strongly, and to tell you the truth, it can be an unpleasant experience, to say the least. For example, the jumpers off the trade towers on 9-11. I didn't watch any of the videos that came out. It was all too disturbing. Why do I want to expose my emotions to that? Or that horrible club fire where the rock band was playing and those poor kids got trapped? Horrible, horrible story. But I distanced myself from it as soon as possible. I don't know. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut.
