Freeper Interview Series: Houmatt
Patriot Paradox ^
Posted on 11/06/2003 5:00:38 AM PST by sonsofliberty2000
The latest interview in the Freeper Interview Series is now up at Patriot Paradox. The interview was with Houmatt, and here are some highlights:
What, in your view, should we do now in the Middle East?
This is the second thing we should do: We should give Israel the money it needs to properly defend itself and then get out of the way. They are more than capable of taking care of themselves. It is time we let them.
If you could live the life of one person, fictional or real, for one day who would it be?
Actually, Helen Keller. We take our ability to see and hear for granted so much, we never think of those who do not have those blessings and I believe we could achieve a greater understanding if we could have walked a mile in her shoes.

The FIS is an series of interviews with Freepers to help us understand where our compatriots are coming from. Interviews will be posted twice weekly and we hope this helps us unite and stir up the conservative base. If you have a suggestion of a Freeper who merits interviewing, let me know by Freepmail. Suggesting your own self is perfectly acceptable.

What 5 issues would you say are of utmost importance to Americans today? 1) Abortion 2) Education 3) Crime 4) Taxes
TEXAS 5) War on Terror And not necessarily in that order.

I was never really much interested in politics but I got caught up in the issue of abortion in 1985. For a while I was "pro-choice", even to the point of attending a Planned Parenthood workshop aimed at protecting abortion clinics and a "pro-choice" rally during the 1992 GOP Convention in Houston. Some time after that, a very dear friend of mine showed me something: It was a magazine that bore the photos of a fully formed human infant, only its head had literally been ripped off its shoulders. A product of abortion. That was the turning point for me and I have never looked back. That's my favorite comment from this FReeper with whom I have never shared a thread. So nice to meet you, Houmatt! Each and every one of your answers is perfect, IMO. And it takes guts for a man to admit he has a fear of snakes. Really. :o)
Thanks for the ping, sonsofliberty2000. I appreciate your hard work on the FReeper interviews and Most Dangerous lists.

Ahhhhh! Oh.
Maybe we can enjoy one of your poems today without it just being a diversion for my broken website. I have duck tape keeping the server up. Lets pray it holds. :-)

Another Entertainer show's their ignorance on foreign soil.
Santana
I loved Black Magic Woman,
And Oye Como Va.
Soul Sacrifice was cookin,
But now I must say, blah.
Your guitars still enchanting,
Ill hear it never more.
If I controlled the country,
Id show you to the door.
Why is it you cant shut up,
And just be what you are.
Another entertainer,
Who plays a mean guitar.
On foreign soil you say were wrong,
And peace you represent.
To shredders and mass killings,
Iraqi people went.
Not sent there by our soldiers,
But Saddam and his boys.
Humanity you says your gig,
Then stop this stupid noise.
Apologize because youre wrong,
And we will all forgive.
We fight to free Iraqis,
So more of them can live.

Perhaps we all need to spend a day living as if we were Helen Keller...Helen Keller was one of the most flaming Socialists of the past century. I think I'll pass.

Well, I was thinking of Helen Keller the child, actually. YIKES!
To: TaxRelief
Yes, her story is inspirational as a child. Her political beliefs as an adult were Marxist, and if Free Republic had existed back then, she would have gotten a permanent ZOT in about 5 seconds.
