As usual, Ann hits the jugular!
Anyone who wants a detailed blueprint for how the post-combat period of a major military action will be conducted is either 1) not serious or 2) not playing with a full deck.

... For example, it's been nearly five months since Howell Raines was removed as editor of the New York Times. No quagmire there! What is Bill Keller's "plan" to turn the New York Times around, and how long will it take? ...
What a cut. Haven't seen blood spayed like that since Toshiro Mifune retired from making Samurai epics.

A war is not as predictable as, say, a George Clooney movie (although generally more entertaining).BWAHAHAHA!!!

Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., said: "The administration had a plan to fight the war, but it had no plan to win the peace." Kennedy's idea of "a plan" consists of choosing a designated driver before heading out for the evening. Just awesome!

I believe Bush has had a plan for sometime.
And he probably has a plan b, c, d etc.

The Democrats attempt make political hay from the war in Iraq is clumsy, but the issue of yet another ill-defined foreign war could be a clear advantage for Democrats if they can exploit it effectively. The soundbite call for a plan is off the mark. We know there's a plan. I'm wondering, who's plan? What interest is being served? There may well be a compelling national interest to be in Iraq, but the President hasn't let me in on the secret. The Democrats have such a long history of supporting world wide military intervention that their complaints sound insincere and opportunistic, but support for the effort in Iraq is declining among the public and an anti war platform could help Democrats in elections.

I'd love to know what makes people think that there's no plan, just because they don't know what the plan is. Most members of the press don't have a TS clearance and aren't admitted to high-level planning sessions. If we put our plan out there for the staff of the New York Times to comment on, presumably the bad Iraqis can read it, too. What sort of overwhelming vanity makes private liberal individuals and members of the press suppose that they're entitled to this information?
