Howard Dean campaigns in Tallahassee
Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean told a Tallahassee audience today that southerners have to quit basing their votes on "race, guns, God and gays."
Dean, making his first campaign foray into North Florida, spoke at a rally in Jacksonville then addressed more than 500 people at a luncheon of the Capital Tiger Bay Club.
He said Sen. Bob Graham, who announced on Monday that he won't run for re-election, is on his "short list" for vice president - if he wins the Democratic nomination to face President Bush next November.
The former Vermont governor, who is a physician, also criticized Gov. Jeb Bush for rushing through a law that allowed Bush to override the courts and restore feeding to a Tampa woman, Terri Schiavo, who has been in a "persistent vegetative state" since 1990.
Dean said he hopes to reassemble a coalition of conservative southern voters like President Franklin Roosevelt had in the "solid South" 70 years ago. Although his opposition to the war in Iraq and his criticism of the Bush tax cuts do not score well in polls in the South, Dean said he hopes working families will support his call for improving education and health care.

Howard Dean says Southerners should stop voting based on "race, guns, God and gays."How about...
Bigoted politicians should stop accusing Southerners of voting based on "race, guns, God and gays."

They're in love with death, and then they wonder why people who believe in God can no longer vote for them.

He is just trying to take the fun out of going to the polls.

Can he keep opening his mouth wider? His entire leg seems to have fallen in.

Why not? The leftists all vote even more fervently on the basic of race, guns, God, and gays--not to speak of abortion. They just do it the other way.
If we shouldn't talk about these things, why has Dean been spending so much time yammering about guns and gays, not to mention labeling himself a metrosexual?
Does he claim not to care whether a judicial candidate supports the right to life or believes in God?
No, it's only conservatives who should shut their mouths.

It seems to me that the Democrat party platform is made up of:
race (affirmative action)
guns (gun control)
God (getting rid of all public references to religion, especially Christianity)
gays (domestic parterships, gay marriage).
Perhaps Dr. Dean should address his comments to his own party.

Ok - those issues are off the table. We can instead choose to vote based on the issues of: National Security and Tax Relief. Doesn't change anything.

Apparently "race" means we must accept government discrimination in the form of affirmative action; "guns" means we must accept being stripped of our Second Amendment rights and disarmed, so as to be less of an obstacle to government tyranny; "God" means that we must accept secularism as the state religion, and help banish God and Christianity from our culture, when they are the basis of our culture; and "gays" means we must abandon all morality and pretend that two people without the appropriate plumbing trying to simulate intercourse is just as "normal" as heterosexual procreative activity. Damn these people.

... quit basing their votes on "race, guns, God and gays." , So what's wrong with that. He must be afraid that if people vote along these lines nobody will vote for him. With that statement, I think he's assured that he'll lose the election BIG TIME.

Howard Dean told a Tallahassee audience today that southerners have to quit basing their votes on "race, guns, God and gays."
First of all, what an incredibly racist remark. Hey dean - shut your pie hole. Secondly, maybe southerners appreciate the second amendement (just in case some commie metrofaggot like dean ever gets in office and tries to completely destroy the constitution). Thirdly, shove it dean because basing votes on God is what made this country in the first place. And finally it's wrong to be queer and between queers and southerners, I know who has the most votes - but then again, being a democratic wanna-be doesn't correlate to intelligence.

'DON'T LET YOUR VALUES INFORM YOUR DECISIONS.'There is a classic line from an old, obscure Steve Taylor song...
It's from a politician...
"I'm devout, I'm sincere and I proud to say,
that it's had exactly NO effect on who I am today"
To: Pikamax
Bad week for Dean. He's starting to sound like Wes Clark.
