I am so touched by the pic, you placed the perfect words on that spoon and it is the perfect photo for Terri's webpage! " Let Terri's mom feed her!'

Cyn.......:^)

You rock!

Just got back from trying to size the bone scan findings taken of Terri on 3.5.1991 and just cannot figure out a way to copy and post the findings here.

I was stunned at how many bones were injured. (But I think you know someone who could interpret the paragraphs on the findings). Will post the web address-sorry I cannot find a link, just got the link in my email and well, was sickened at what this woman has suffered. Period.

Here is the email with the address-it only takes a second-one page-many bone injuries...the thoracic injurys are what concerned me most...I just don't understand how a judge could overlook something this overwhelming...it crys out for justice!

Here is the email address of Terri's bone scan findings:

She was beat to a pulp....more than once"

Simply horrific.

SCHIAVO: Again, that's a snippet. If you go back to four and a half hours of tape, they do the same thing over and over again, and she doesn't do it. The doctors have explained that in court.

FELOS: Most patients in a vegetative state retain reflexive vision and eye movement. That's the fact.

It didn't take 4 hrs to get that 1990 photo! And as a freeper (who?) noted, Michael is certainly looking at Terri as if she is "there".

What has changed from then to now, Michael? Go on to your new life. Leave Terri to hers. Buh-bye.

Your tagline caught my eye, ORlando. It seems Terri and I share the same birthdate - - but certainly not the same year!

"People fort the Ethical Treatment of Animals ( PETA ) will announce plans to promote a boycott of Burger King stores worldwide."

Maybe this is a silly question, but aren't the PETA nuts pretty much vegetarian? How much impact is a boycott by a bunch of vegans likely to make on BURGER King? Maybe it's just me.

My husband and I have decided not to do this. We trust each other to make decisions and would do so with parent(s) support.

It may still be wise to draw up and file advance directives for what should be done in the event both of you are incapacitated, with the proviso that if one of you is competant that person's judgement should be trusted over the defaults prescribed in the advance directive.

Actually, it can also done "innocently" -- here's how:

Food trays are served in a hospital or nursing home. They are set up on those bedside tables for the patient. The carton of milk or juice may or may not be opened for the person; the top may or may not be taken off the dish. Then the tray is left sitting there. The overbed table may not even be next to the bed!

If nothing else is done, if the patient is unable to fend for herself, or if she does not have a caring aide or advocate, it can look as though Mrs. Brown in Room 112 is just not hungry -- again.

Obviously, it's crucial for the nurses' aides or whoever to ensure that the food actually reaches the patients' mouths! Spoonful by spoonful, if necessary -- as it often is. If there is not time or care taken, things -- PEOPLE -- get missed.

Ah, memories . . . feeding toddlers was a piece of cake after this! But it was rewarding. Especially remembering it now after all these years, with Terri in mind.

I think it is too "case specific" to sign a paper, and then have some court oppose my hubby, or my brothers?

What if you and the people whose judgement you trust are simultaneously killed or incapacitated? It may be good to have an advance directive which explicitly lists (1) whose judgement should rule, under what conditions; and (2) what should be done, in the event that none of the people in (1) are available and competant to make such judgement.

"HOWARD DEAN JUST LOST FLORIDA, on the heels of his comments re: the Confederate Flag."

Dean isn't likely to win any prizes for saying the right things anywhere in the south, but boy do I see the potential for some REALLY good jokes.

Howard Dean says Southerners should stop voting based on "race, guns, God and gays."

Oooooh, nice! with pretty stamps?! A side benefit was that it makes Terri a real person for the senders, as well. Terri is like any other friend I would send a card to! I got angry all over again as I held the envelope. I try not to!

"We should all pray to not only ask the Lord to soften the heart of that judge but to open his mind to the truth of what has happened here"

Looks like that prayer was answered. In case you hadn't heard.

Just got this updated info in email-didn't realize Glenn Beck had interviewed Pat Anderson...so sorry I missed that. Going to listen to it with my morning coffee. Also-update on AARP! Good news there. And some articles to investigate!

Here is the audio of Terri's crusader, Glenn Beck, interviewing Pat Anderson (bottom right of the page) -
http://www.glennbeck.com/home/index.shtml

And as if the Schindlers haven't seen enough of injustice -
http://news.tbo.com/news/MGABGVOWMMD.html

Another article in the Tampa Tribune showed the true danger of what is going on here -
http://news.tbo.com/news/MGANHXMWMMD.html

I am glad the AARP rethought joining the case on Michael's side. I imagine that was from the many protests. Who would lose most from the right-to-kill mentality? The elderly of course. I hope they realize that.

"Does anyone know why the daily thread keeps getting moved off the side bar?"

It is in my sidebar. It goes back to the top of "activism" every time someone posts on it. I'm not exactly sure how that works, so I pinged the mods. Maybe they can explain it to you.
