Is anyone listening to Hannity? He just read a memo from a dem party staffer (i think) on the select committe on intelligence (or some such), which, as he describes it, shows the the dem committe members are pre-planning a political assault on the pres. and care nothing for our security, which is their job.
He's acting like this is the hottest scoop since I don't know what, I'm at work so I'm only 1/2 listening, plus he read the whole thing which seemed to be a least 2 pages long, a little tough to follow being in beaurocrat-speak.
Is this really important? And will this story grow legs?

How the hell did we get Ken Starr, genius?
You cannot get an independant counsel without cooperation from BOTH sides. Roberts has to maintain civility in order to avoid creating pressure to take the investigations out of his hands.

That's just what I mean. Disgusting that they would put American lives at risk to further thier agenda. Sick, sick, sick....
To: Shermy
Do you think the Demo staffers will investigate their own party's support for Clinton's Iraq LIberation Act in 1998? Time to release all the Clinton files, including the Hillary health care meetings. They should have been released anyway.

Who does the declassifying of this info? I think it is the Executive branch not the committee...I don't know. I'll see if I can find out. If it is the executive branch, I feel a bit better. Not much, but a bit.

With the record the Senate Republicans have in collabaration, it should be taken out of Roberts hands and given to the FBI.

If Durbin is gone, the DNC has to find a new mouth piece to call WGN radio everyday.
No matter who is appointed they can't be as bad as Durbin, who is the worse party hack in Illinois.

. For example, the FBI Niger investigation was done solely at the request of the vice chairman.Does this mean what I think it means????

I believe a Democrat-controlled congress passed the independent counsel statute, and that the Attorney General is the one who appoints an independent counsel. I wasn't aware an IC appointment required a bipartisan action in Congress.

I sent Roberts an email and asked him to call the Dems out on this. He is playing the Fool. There is no such thing as a bipartisan Dem. Any Dem who tries it is destroyed by the rest of the Dems. Roberts should stand up. I doubt that he will.

From
this link, FWIW:
"I hope the [congressional] leadership will let the Administration know our committee will seek congressional authorization to declassify appropriate information if the executive branch refuses," Sen. Levin said.
Congress can do this on its own?

Does this mean what I think it means???? What, Dog?

I said that this is just like what was done to Tony Blair. Holy cats, you don't suppose there could be any chance that the Dems colluded with certain Labour party members/BBC in what happened to Blair...?
To: truthkeeper
Sean: "Many of the committee members are committing to be on the show tomorrow."I won't care what they say unless it's in a court and under oath.
To: george wythe
Hatellary Rodhamster has McCulsky on a leash ... and perhaps one other Dem sap on the committee. This crap was generated by Hatellary, sent out by McCulsky, IMHO.

"Sen. Carl Levin Seeks Release of Iraq intelligence provided U.N. Inspectors" http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/930119/posts "Sen. Levin Repeatedly Cited Iraq Nuclear Threat" http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/947873/posts
Guess these are not exactly connected, but it's interesting to note the good Senator's stance on Iraq.
