[history]
November 4, 2003 -- Mayor Bloomberg, in an unusually sharp jab at Rudy Giuliani, says racial issues tinged every aspect of his predecessor's administration. "You forget that every single decision, everybody, every story, everything was always couched in terms of race," Bloomberg says in the December issue of Vanity Fair, which hits newsstands tomorrow.

Bloomberg also suggests he wouldn't be devastated if he loses his re-election bid in 2005.Neither would 90% of NYers.

I'm wondering, is the Republican party going to put someone in for a primary against Bloomberg? Bloomberg will run as a republican and NY will have two democrats to choose from. When I worked in Manhattan and Dinkins was mayor, the city was in a horrible state. When I worked in Manhattan and Giuliani was Mayor, what a different wonderful place. I pray they don't destroy what Rudy has done.

Bloomberg admits that being mayor isn't the "highlight of his career."
Interesting comment by the Mayor, and numerous conclusions could be made from it. As an Western NY'er, I'd rather our largest city have someone who:
1) Considers the job of NYC mayor as the single most important thing he has done in his career.
2) Recognizes the honor of holding the position.
3) Acts upon the obligation to those who did/did not vote for him.
4) Realizes that he ran as a Republican, and many probably cast a vote for him simply based on the principals of the party. Principals that he claims to endorse.
Instead, NYC seems to have yet another whiney liberal at the helm....

Where did he get his second hand smoke death numbers? Is he trying to get a job writing for the New York Times?

"Bloomberg also compares the number of deaths caused by secondhand smoke to the number of people killed in the World Trade Center collapse.
Doubling his previous estimates, the mayor says that 2,000 New Yorkers die each year from secondhand smoke."
Name one, you blooming idiot. Just one name!

4) Realizes that he ran as a Republican, and many probably cast a vote for him simply based on the principals of the party. Principals that he claims to endorse. What happened here is that 9-11 just happened. Rudy was leaving as Mayor..........he endorses this jackass, and at that time, Rudy was the KING and everyone worshipped him!
New Year's Eve, he stood in Times Square and held his hands up high with BloomingIdiot. Of course, the whole state of New York thought that BloomingIdiot would HAVE to be the best thing ever to happen to NYC because RUDY ENDORCED HIM!
I often wonder to this day if Rudy had ANY idea of how this man really works. I have my doubts.

Nothing that comes out of the Bloominidiot's mouth surprises me anymore.
Even the EPS's totally bogus numbers only claim 3,000 AMERICANS, total.
He has made me ashamed to admit I was born and raised in what was once a great city.

"You forget that every single decision, everybody, every story, everything was always couched in terms of race," Bloomberg says in the December issue of Vanity Fair, which hits newsstands tomorrow.
"That's not true anymore," Bloomberg concludes.Well, no, you idiot. That was during the Dinkins administration. Remember, Dinkie was the one who used city money to pay to have the body of a drug dealer who was killed in a shoot-out with the NYPD flown back to whatever country he came from (of course, he was here illegally) *and* for the funeral, all because the dead dealer just happened to be black.
He also stood by for the first couple of days of the Crown Heights riots, to "let them get it out of their systems" and then took a visible role in the racially-motivated boycott of a Korean grocer. Nurse Goonberg probably idolizes fellow leftist moron Dinkins.
"He made all the decisions . . . particularly when it came to police and fire. Rudy wanted to be the PC [police commissioner]. Rudy wanted to be the fire commissioner. He rushed to the fires," Bloomberg says.
Wrong again, you assclown. He rushed to just about every fire not because he's a frustrated firefighter, but because he cared about each and every person in this city and wanted to show those who suffered that he -- and the city -- was there for them. I prefer a mayor like that over an effete snob who just hires "that type of person" to take care of that stuff while he sips champagne at Nobu.
Bloomberg also compares the number of deaths caused by secondhand smoke to the number of people killed in the World Trade Center collapse.
Words fail to describe just what a leftist nitwit he really is.
Bloomberg also suggests he wouldn't be devastated if he loses his re-election bid in 2005.
Nor would much of NYC. Hell, I'll hold a party -- if I haven't been driven out of here by then.
Bloomberg admits that being mayor isn't the "highlight of his career."
Nor is it something for which the city can be particularly proud.
In the nine-page article, Bloomberg also targets Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer, citing him as a politician who spends his entire term running for re-election.
OK, I'll give him that one. Then again, even a stopped clock is right twice a day...
