A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

Seems a certain flavor of ME man keeps going back to OUR schools, in order to obtain multiple degrees, with varying interests. I've also noticed these men have a boundless sense of energy. al qaeda terrorists are not stupud; they are rapidly adapting chameleons. The Feds -- and authorities all over the world -- better also be thinking in and out of the box, just like everyone on this thread.

By the way, I think you know that Y2K went rather smoothly because of alot of theorizing and planning ahead of time. The reason why all was basically ok was because the governments and business thought out of the box and pulled together years before and started recommending the updating or changing of computer and other systems that could be affected. CPAs, for example started even before 1996 in advising their clients that their systems must be prepared or both the accounting and client business sectors might be subject to liability. I believe America was ahead of the curve not only here in the U.S., but in helping other countries prepare.

My knowledge of living near the border is 25 years old, but I don't think that it has changed that much.

Once a month I went shopping in Yuma, but first would cross the border at San Luis and buy large bags of flour and gallons of peppers, etc, it was cheaper and better. My old station wagon had bad shocks, so looked loaded, when sitting empty. After being checked a few times, they quit checking.

At home the first years that the illegals came through, they were men who wanted to work and did so for $5.00 per day.

They could walk the 40 miles in about 24 hours and would do so on a gallon of Nescafe coffee in a milk bottle.

Often the greenhorns would die, sometimes many in a group. I have gone hunting for them, when a partner would make it to the house.

The normal thing in 1970 was for a man to come to you and ask to work for food.

By 1977 the men who came were younger and there was no offer to work, simply a demand to feed them.

Even pointing a gun at them and calling the Deputies, wouldn't run them off. It got scary with Bill working out of town.

I will never know if the younger men were arab or mexican, I look at pictures today and can't say that I would know one from the other, and still don't speak spanish, so that is no help.
