Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat
Debka ^ | 11-3-2003 | Staff

Monday, November 3, 2003

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Breaches seen as terrorist tests

Authorities believe these socks seized during the arrest of Sajid Badat were designed to be filled with explosives and then tethered and worn around a bomber's neck. (Transportation Security Administration photo obtained by ABCNEWS

According to sources, there has been increased discussion in the intelligence community this week concerning the use of explosives that a would-be attacker could wear on board an airplane and then assemble into a bomb. U.S. authorities reportedly are meeting in Britain with British counterintelligence officials to review whether Badat and his suspected device may have had any possible connection to New York and the northeastern United States.

"Thailand Concedes Militant Islamic Hand Behind Violence"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "In an unprecedented televised broadcast of a weekly cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his ministers discussed the violence, in which four soldiers and two policemen were killed by militants who raided an armory, planted bombs and torched almost two dozen schools."

If you want to see a movie that will kind of scare you, check out "The Peacemaker."

Definitely relevant to our times, (and I'm recommending it even though it stars one of the actors on my don't-watch list, G. Clooney).

But if you want to watch something that spells out what we're up against with suitcase nukes, etc., this one is it.

Is bin Laden losing heart?

I really hope you're right. However it seems obvious that he'd like to give the appearance that current events are the fulfillment of some of the Islamic eschatological expectations - and to the extent that he can seem believable in making things appear desperate, the more likely he or his successor is to be followed by all the sheep if/when they manage to pull off The Big One (whatever that is, whether it's an attack on our troops before they leave Iraq, or overthrowing the House of Saud, or another another 9-11 or worse in the US or Europe). That's probably the ultimate point of that "Awaited Enlightend One" scribbling someone saw on a blackboard on one video a while back.

If he manages to persuade a significant number of sympathizers that he or one of his successors is their liberator who was prophesied ... well then our troubles have just begun.

In reality this thread has overcome me. I turned my back for a moment and now I'm 1000+ posts behind and slipping.

I sure wish FR threads were really threads and not flat text. Filters, kill lists, and a decent search would be nice too - just the basics like in any free email program, or better, newsreader...

Anyhow, I'd appreciate a ping or FRmail from you or the others if something important comes up.

Thanks!

Dear Joy,

You want to know if you can cause the earth to crack with an explosion. In my opinion the answer is yes. No, I do not have a degree in anything other than Floral Merchandising and life.

When Mt. St Helen exploded about 25 years ago, I plotted a book of suspense (that I wanted to write) and needed to be the one who caused the volcano to erupt.

I let my writing teacher at the college convince me not to write the story. I never knew why, now suspect that it had to do with the fact that he was from Canada and didn't believe in war.

Of course, I needed to have another evil country to fill the role of bad guy.

Someone has written my story, saw it reviewed a few weeks ago. Didn't bother to keep the name in my mind.

It has given me 25 years of watching for articles on how to explode a volcano.

My story had the explosive coming in from the sea, in an under sea/mountain, via a tunnel.

A couple years after Mt. St. Helen, National Geographic did an article on the volcano and would you believe there are natural volcanic pipes coming from the volcano, under the mountain and into the ocean.

So, my fiction was proved........ LOL

In the 60's we had 10 acres near Ocotillo, Calif, with an old mobile on it for weekends (heaven), it is on the San Andreas fault for earthquakes, I would think that a major blast would cause it to move and when one of the earths plates moves, the others will also shift a bit.

Volcanos would be my worry, they contain something to come up and out.

Mines have amazing shafts, thousands of feet deep.

Digging in my memory, maybe it is the the American Rose Gold Mine, out of Glamis, Calif, near Yuma. The mountain shifted and there are still 400 Chinamen (dead) in it over a hundred years later.

They were following a ore vein on the slant and using desert tree stumps to hold the mountain up, I was there in the 1960's.

The King Of Arizona Mine off Hwy 95, between Yuma, and Quartzite, about 1970, after a week or so of heavy rain, collapsed. The whole mountain fell in the mined areas, a big hole now (1970's), half the mountain looks like it is gone.

I was there with the owner, a Dr. Burdick (sp?), if I have the name wrong, then it is the RobRoy Mine, that is the next one.

I didn't go in the hole with the rest of the group, even then, I didn't climb ropes, so the Dr. took me to the other mine and we went thru the tunnels.

So, yes, I think someone with the correct knowledge could do things to the earth. Opinion based on 40 years of trying to understand why you have an ore vein here and not over there.

They say "Gold is where you FIND it", but the simple answer is, if God wants you to find it, he will put it in your way.

Far out thinking for me, but something about this has been nagging me.

We were looking for a 4-4 code.

He was gone for 4 days and came back 4 days before Sunday's ball game, if it is this Sunday.

He is going to 'piss' on Texas, (get your mind above the belt), as he is going to spray or pour out something on Texas.

Now he has to assemble something, take a look at this article, it tells how to assemble a good sprayer for spraying anything you want to spray.

IMHO, EOM is a wanna-be/agitator with excellent cut-and-paste skills. When I reposted the old Daleel messages I'd sign off with a "Hi Daleel!". I oughta put a "Hi EOM" in my tagline since I am sure he's been lurking here for quite a while.

Drop the %22 off the end of the URL and it will work just fine. http://www.geocities.com/john_hus1/indexSpanish.htm

Here is a link to a Hex/ASCII chart if you're ever wondering what those "%nn"'s mean in a URL.

ASCII Table

Now don't go wasting any time on those silly mouse-click games on the right side of the page. ;)

FR THREAD SNIPPET: "This is not a pleasant video, so be forewarned. It shows two prisoners... hands bound behind their backs... blindfolded... placed on the ground inside a 3-walled dirt berm... and executed - blown up - apparently by grenades.

Oh, and there's also a group of people who applaud at the beginning of the video.

If anyone can translate the narration, please do. I can only make out "Saddam Hussein" in part of it.

You mentioned the following:

"I noticed a couple years ago that the Afghanistan natives look like the Cherokee Indians."
________________________________________________________

I thought the same thing. There is a lot of Cherokee blood in my family. The features of Afghanistan natives look very similar to those of my grandfather and great-grandparents.

By the way, thanks for your comments/advice. Some of your advice and wisdom reminds me of my grandmother. I find myself taking notes. *smile*

It would be very easy to pull it off, put on a uniform and say you were a surveyor (a orange nylon vest) or claim that you are doing a mineral survey.

Around here, (in the Arizona desert) you will see them out all the time.

I think that it would be easy to set off charges, if you were working in old tunnels or pipes underground.

Here, folks are in a hurry to get to the Casinos at Laughlin and would never dream of talking to a stranger. Except for me, sure shocked a lot of men over the years, because if it was a surveyor, then they knew something that I didn't, maybe, such as were the local section markers were in that area.

Information that I always needed as a real estate broker or as a prospector.

Dear Joy,

If you want to learn about herbs, get the book "Back To Eden" by Jethro Kloss, It was first published in the 1930's I think and has been reprinted many times.

Many of the fancy herb books are nothing but a rewrite of it.

It is often for sale used at $5.00 or less and last year was for sale at half.com.

I consider Essential Oils to be herbs. (My opinion).

For 3 years I have not had a sinus infection, I simply smell the Oregano Essential Oil and the Lavender. Very simple, remove the lid and breathe deep.

Oregano will kill lots of bad germs.

Alas, it does not cure old age.

I am glad to know that someone else saw the likeness to the Afghans, it pleases me that I make you think of your Grandmother.

"FOREIGN SERVICE OFFICER PLEADS GUILTY TO
FALSE STATEMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH ENTRY VISAS"

"WASHINGTON, D.C. - Assistant Attorney General Christopher A. Wray of the Criminal Division announced today that Alden P. Stallings, a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, pleaded guilty this morning to a charge stemming from false statements that he made to the United States government while serving as the Deputy Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, Korea. Stallings, 56, of Arlington, Virginia, resigned from the State Department as part of his plea agreement.

Stallings was assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, Korea. As the Deputy Public Affairs Officer, Stallings had the authority to submit to the Embassy’s Consular Section referrals on behalf of applicants for non-immigrant visas for entry into the United States. Stallings admitted that from April 1999 through February 2001, he submitted to the Consular Section 54 referrals in which he provided false information about his relationship with the applicants. Specifically, on each of the 54 referral forms, Stallings stated that he recommended the issuance of a non-immigrant visa to the applicant because the applicant was an “important post contact” whom he had “personally known” since a specified date. In fact, on each of the 54 occasions, Stallings knew that his statement on the referral form was false, and that he did not personally know the contact.

Stallings faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine at sentencing, scheduled for March 31, 2004.

The case was investigated by the Diplomatic Security Section of the Department of State. The case is being prosecuted by Trial Attorney Monika Bickert and Acting Deputy Chief Raymond Hulser of the Public Integrity Section of the United States Department of Justice, headed by Section Chief Noel L. Hillman."
