Perennially overrated Miami Hurricanes exposed as frauds tonight(as expected)
espn and various security cameras | 11/01/03 | Luther Campbell, poor mistreated Sapp, and the Florida Dept of Corrections

Got their butts kicked by Virginia Tech(themselves recently exposed as overrated) 31-7. That should shut up for a few days the orange blowhard bandwagoning fullofthemselves thugimage rapcrap pullyourpantsup snoopyappiyap loudmouth elements of the Cane fans.

OBTW, nice sore loser cheap shots by the Miami bench late in the game after the interception. Spare me the baloney about how this is the "new" "cleaned up" Miami. They sure looked like the heavily penalized, trash talking, thuggish, gang bums of old, mixing it up after practically every play in the final 4 minutes.

Think I'm piling on? Watch media favorite Miami hardly drop in the polls, despite the complete thrashing. Sorry, but I'm tired of the total scam that is the BCS/poll system propping Miami, FSU, Texas(my team), etc. every year with early high rankings and overhype, so that a loss for them is not nearly as hurtful to their title shots as most teams. Its an incestuous false cycle, and thus the same few teams regularly bob around the top 10 and usually are the only ones with a real shot of playing in that totally bogus mythical national championship game.

C'mon, this year only Oklahoma stands out above the crowd, and by no means is it certain that they will go undefeated. There is absolutely no way that we can pick the 2 best teams in the country with any degree of certainty. No matter what the BCS does, it is a sham and a total joke.

There are not that many Division I football teams. That's why it's not so hard to pick out the top 25.

In any case, a playoff would be a cinch.

But it won't happen anytime soon.

The usual media overhype. OSU struggled all season, yet they beat 'unstoppable' Miami.

Reminds me of how the media slobbers over and ranks Hillary as the 'Smartest Woman in America'.

And who is the current head of U. Miami? A member of the most corrupt Presidential administration in American history.

Hehehe...

Without a playoff, its all just figure skating and beauty pagents.

When all is said and done, who really gives a crap who's the "national champion" college football team? Most of these "college students" don't even graduate -- they don't belong in college to begin with.

I do love hearing about legitimate scholar/athletes -- but they're not in the majority.

The best football game I ever watched on TV was the Neb. Oklahoma game, played on Thanksgiving Day 1972. Won by Neb. 35 to 31. It was a doozy!!

I hope USC wins the rest of their games, and we can see them and Oklahoma for the National Championship. It will be a doozy too.!!

You're smarter than the writers, you know better than the rest.

To post some silly rant about Miami based on a loss is ridiculous.

Carry on.

It's over. Great game. I'm most impressed with your QB, Matt Jones. Good job.

Watch media favorite Miami hardly drop in the polls, despite the complete thrashing.

Gee, I wonder if winning 39 straight regular season games could have had something to do with them being meadia favorites. Nah!

I knew after seeing Brock Berlin play his first couple of games that Miami would probably lose two or three regular season games, although I wouldn't pin this loss on him -- he played his usual mediocre game and that's as good as he'll ever be. Compare this game to Miami's win at FSU. Against FSU, Miami got all the breaks. Miami and VT are very similar teams -- most of their talent is on defense and special teams. Miami also has a couple of very good players on offense, but not a QB. Brock Berlin is going to get Roscoe Parrish killed by the end of the season. The other problem Miami had against VT was they came out very flat. I can only imagine that Larry Coker chewed their asses over the last ten days about making penalties. That's about the only thing I've ever seen to take the enthusiasm out of the Miami players. It didn't seem to work either. I'll be very happy if Miami can finish out the season with one loss. They've got the talent to do it.

I'm a fan of the Hurricanes for one reason -- I can remember back in the 1970's when they truly sucked. The university almost killed the program, but decided to give it one more shot. Three years later they were the National Champions, which reminds me of the 2003 Marlins -- from near death to champions in a very short period of time. Eat your heart out.

Incredible. Abney, Bwenge, and that gigantic quarterback. What a gutsy performance. Hats off to Kentucky. I don't think I will think of them as just a basketball school ever again.

Sorry, but its about way more than a single game. In fact its more about the lack of a playoff than Miami. But I bet you dollars to donuts that there are far more in agreement with my thoughts than support Miami.

Hey, any team that bases its image on Warren Sapp style swagger is going to be hated by a lot of people. It goes with the territory.

Anyway, I think we've both made our points, its just football, and thus not that important.

Abney, Bwenge, and Lorenzen. An incredible performance. Neither team deserved to lose that game.

I've never respected Miami half as much as I respect Kentucky right now. It's not how many games you win or how badass you can be. It's not about that.
