Has Google's 'cached' function been disabled?

Since yesterday, every time I use google and try to use their 'cached' feature, instead of the article it brings up the google advanced search screen, but with some odd computer cache language in the first line.
Let me illustrate by example.
I start at google's advance search page: http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en
Now lets enter a search, say exact phrase "LA Times", and containing all of the words "tinfoil" and "lawsuit"
Here are the first 10 results: http://www.google.com/search?as_q=tinfoil+lawsuit&num=10&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&output=advanced_search&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=LA+Times&as_oq=&as_eq=&lr=&as_ft=i&as_filetype=&as_qdr=all&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=&safe=images
Now lets go to the first result listed: http://www.dedoc.net/
Works fine, pulls up some meaningless webpage.
Now lets backup to the 10 results, and this time use the 'cached' function of the same first result listed:
http://216.239.39.104/advanced_search?q=cache:zPuyJvNvL5EJ:www.dedoc.net/+tinfoil+lawsuit+%22LA+Times%22&hl=en&ie=UTF-8
Instead of an expected archive of the original webpage of the first result listed, what pops up is the google advanced search page, with the original 'exact phrase' search term, and "cache:zPuyJvNvL5EJ:www.dedoc.net/ tinfoil lawsuit" in the 'with all of the words' space.

So has their cache been disabled account of some type of similar LA Times/Wash. Post lawsuit, or is my stupid Comcast broadband screwed up(again), or is it just Halloween?

I know Google is working with NYTIMES to stop the cache of their pages because they want people to log in and not just hit a mirror of it.

Dang, must be either comcast or my computer. I cleared all my cookies, but that didn't seem to work.

That sucks!
Google's 'cached' feature was the only means I discovered of finding a friend I hadn't seen for 20 years. It's archived history. Is there another depository?

Looks a little screwy in some cases.
When you get that "advanced search" page again with the cache addy in the first line, just click "Google Search" again. It will go to the cached page.
At least it worked that way for me.

Just go ahead and hit the "search" button on the advanced search page and it will take you to the cache.

Try it first. So far I'm the only one having problems. I wonder if my computer caught some type of virus/worm/etc. I've got all the firewalls, spybot, ad-aware, etc. stuff.
To: Diddle E. Squat
If I do the search:
tinfoil lawsuit "LA Times"
1. Cached pages work just fine if I do the search from either the main Google page, or from the Google Toolbar.
2. It gives the weird result if I do the search from the "Advanced Search" page.
So caching isn't broken, but the advanced search results page seem to be fuzzled.

Thanks for the advice. The second try did work for me, too.

still works, whew!

When I used your link I got the same "Advanced Search" result for cached pages -- for any search term(s) I typed in. However, when I closed the window and opened a new Google search, I could open the cached page as expected.
Something in that combination of search terms triggers a glitch, maybe?

That is too cool. I went "wayback" and laughed at some old web pages I used to have up.

Uh oh. I tried your Way Back Machine, entered "Houston" and "mayor" and got this result:

(Only long-time Houstonians will get that)
