Believe it or not there is snow in the mountians above Rancho Cucamonga at about the 7,000' level.
Rancho was the site of the Grand Prix Fire (the first Fire, I think) and it was still burning in the Wilderness Area yesterday.
Good News.

( . . . and the rains came.)

We have rain freezing on cold surfaces. School is cancelled today. The roads are a pleasure to drive without all the schoolkids.

You are all invited to Montana for a global warming conference. I'll bring my SPF15 and swim suit. Maybe do some float tube fishing.

Yes it has been a week of weather contrast here in the central valley of California. Tonight I must go to a meeting in Arnold, where the temperature was 19 this morning.
Drove from Lodi to Kingsburg and back yesterday. Lovely cool fall day.

Great news! I hope it tames those fires ASAP.

Senator Boxer should be kicked out of the Senate and sent to jail for putting a "hold" on the Healthy Forests Bill. Her actions contributed to the deaths of 20 people and billions of $$ in property damage.
To: afraidfortherepublic
my point, exactly....to see her on the Senate floor, last night, eulogized the dead firefighter, was pathetic..she's running for cover....I think her votes can be linked to the fires...and dare I say it..she could be "toast"...hopefully..
