Democrats yesterday downplayed the strongest quarterly economic growth in 19 years, refusing to give President Bush credit and stressing still-lagging job creation, while Republicans gloated over the news.

"President Bush has compiled the worst economic record since the Great Depression, and it is going to take a lot more than one quarter of growth to clean it up," said Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean in a statement.

The dem's dementia is showing - they completely disregard the financial ramifications of 9/11. I think I'll have to start referring to them as damocrats.

"Democrats have offered a better approach to jobs and economic growth."

A better approach? What? When? What better approach? Raise taxes AND raise entitlement spending?

Democrats yesterday downplayed the strongest quarterly economic growth in 19 years since Reagan won 49 states.

Just more proof that they'd rather have the economy go down the tubes and let the American people suffer than say even one positive thing about this President. It's really sickening.

Now, what don't the dumbocRATS understand??

The left cannot handle the truth. Next question please.

"Democrats have offered a better approach to jobs and economic growth."

Really? Just when did a stinking Democrat ever offer to cut taxes?

Growth for last quarter: 7.2%.
Growth for next quarter: 5% (?)

Democratic Talking Point: Growth decrease of 2.2% in one quarter is the greatest crash since Herbert Hoover!!!!!

"[Mr. Bush has] the worst record on job creation since Herbert Hoover," Mrs. Pelosi said. "Mr. President, where are the jobs?"

This is a losing strategy for the dems because the EMPLOYED MASSES only listen to this crap when the economy really is bad. They are pandering to a very small constituency here, in light of the recent economic news, IMHO.

If the Dems keep talking like that, they will lock in 6% of the vote. Well, maybe 5.5% of the vote. Wait ... 5% of the vote. No, no, figures by fall of 2004 indicate 4.5% of the vote. Then again ...

Obviously, the demoBaathists are worried since they will be job huntung in the private sector next year. Perhaps a jobless recovery isn't so bad after all.

Oh, and while Nancy was off representing Mexico City on the immigration issue, the number of new jobless claims declined for the fourth consecutive week.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, however, claimed that "Democrats have offered a better approach to jobs and economic growth."

And that would be with more taxes and Government programs, Nancy.

It probably really makes you mad that most of this growth was in the private sector.
