"At night, I have my head buried in a blanket. I don't want the other inmates to see the tears."

Aw, Scott... I bet some of those inmates just LOVE "thenthitive" types!

thanks for the laugh!

this man is a an example of the worst possible type of man - void of conscience, capable of murdering his wife and unborn son, and completely unrepentive.

I pray justice is done.

It's the laughable pretentiousness.

His stilted way of saying things reminds me so much of my friend's ex-husband, who was also a manufacturer's rep.

The guy made money hand over fist, but inwardly he apparently felt just a bit inadequate b/c he'd never gone beyond getting his bachelor's. So he overcompensated by having this whole speech pattern which he would switch on "when there was a serious occasion."

Yes, I'm especially interested in what she was wearing after watching a bit of Court TV yesterday afternoon. They connected some interesting dots--the apparent color of the clothing found on her body, and the color the "weeping husband" claimed she was wearing, as many here discussed yesterday. But they added something I hadn't considered: Laci's sister had gone through the house looking at clothing, etc. still there, and come out weeping uncontrollably. CTV folks think that was when the Rocha family knew beyond doubt that the "Weepin' Scotty" had to have done it.

Thanks for the ping rb.

I'd like to hear what the maid has to say about Laci's daily habits concerning drawing the drapes, about the dog was the dog allowed in the house, etc.

I heard the other night, I believe it was Dr. Baden say that toxicology was not done on Connor. I'm wondering why not? He said that Toxicology was done on Laci, they found caffine. Baden said: so it means Laci had coffee. He added, that because Laci had coffee doesn't mean the child had caffine in it's system, because not all that is injested by the mother gets to the child in the womb. HUH? HUH? WHAT?

I thought that was weird... All expectant mothers KNOW that whatever they eat their babies get in their little bodies.. That's why Mothers are warned against drinking alcohol and taking medications.

I have hoped this info was true, because it is a really good clue as to when she was murdered. If he did this murder(I believe he did),I am hoping the prosecuters have him nailed. What the prosecuters have is still a mystery.

Thanks for the ping rb. I had posted this morning on yesterday's thread that on Greta last night they were discussing the timing of these letters being released right before Amber testifies. Trying to make him look sympathetic before Amber comes on to expose his obsession with her? Claiming to be grieving when he is on the phone with her professing his love and saying he wants to have a family with her??? Please! Stan Goldman and Gloria were saying that this was just a way for Snott to testify without taking the stand, not subject to cross.
I'm willing to bet that MG told him to use up his time and write LOTS of letters painting him in a different light than what we saw during the search and up until his arrest. And I think the release of these letters was CAREFULLY timed.

Yes, but there are some things that will "cross the placenta", and some things that won't. My doctor drew a little diagram for me. It showed little "openings" shaped like dashes, or subtraction signs. Then he drew little "plus" signs. He said, see, when this "plus sign" tries to get through the dash-shaped opening, it can't fit.

I know that's clear as mud, but anyway, only certain molecules, or whatever (of the right shape) can penetrate through the placenta and get to the baby.

I think most of us just don't want to take or use any special substances b/c we just want to err on the side of caution. But actually, some of those substances can't get through to the baby anyway.

And WOULDN'T IT BE SOMETHING if in fact, in a moment of weakness, he had written anything to AMBER from jail??

If he continued speaking to her after her announcement,I think he may be dumb enough to write.

Maybe the Prosecution is just sitting back and letting MG run his mouth so they can see what type of cross they can expect on the DNA evidence in the trial, see what his knowledge, style is. That way the can go back and prepare, and anticipate his every move. I have heard alot of talking head attorneys say that it is a foregone conclusion that the DNA evidence will be admitted.
People are questioning why the Pros. is starting out with the DNA on one strand of hair, weak case, blah, blah.
Stan Goldman pointed out the other night that they HAD to start with this witness because it was the ONLY time she would be avaiable due to MG's numerous delays!!

Hi Dev-

I understand what your saying. However, there are doctors who suggest that an expectant mother should not drink coffee, because the caffine gets to the baby, along with antibotics, alcohol and a host of other substances.
Still, I think a toxi-test should have been done on Connor.

I wouldn't doubt that his obsession would have brought him to that point, but as soon as MG came on the case I'm POSITIVE that was the first thing he told him NOT TO DO!!

I heard that's why she testified, too.A prelim is for the judge also, not a jury.I hope you are right about Geragos.I remember how Ito let his courtroom get completely out of control.(I never predict verdicts since OJ.)
