Thanks for the ping rb.
I'd like to hear what the maid has to say about Laci's daily habits concerning drawing the drapes, about the dog was the dog allowed in the house, etc.
I heard the other night, I believe it was Dr. Baden say that toxicology was not done on Connor. I'm wondering why not? He said that Toxicology was done on Laci, they found caffine. Baden said: so it means Laci had coffee. He added, that because Laci had coffee doesn't mean the child had caffine in it's system, because not all that is injested by the mother gets to the child in the womb. HUH? HUH? WHAT?
I thought that was weird... All expectant mothers KNOW that whatever they eat their babies get in their little bodies.. That's why Mothers are warned against drinking alcohol and taking medications.

Yes, but there are some things that will "cross the placenta", and some things that won't. My doctor drew a little diagram for me. It showed little "openings" shaped like dashes, or subtraction signs. Then he drew little "plus" signs. He said, see, when this "plus sign" tries to get through the dash-shaped opening, it can't fit.
I know that's clear as mud, but anyway, only certain molecules, or whatever (of the right shape) can penetrate through the placenta and get to the baby.
I think most of us just don't want to take or use any special substances b/c we just want to err on the side of caution. But actually, some of those substances can't get through to the baby anyway.

Caffeine doesn't pass through the placenta!! It will only pass the placenta if it is ingested in HUGE quantities.!!
